to produce 400 seeds, u need 400 pollen grains and 400 ovules...1 ovule - 1 meiotic division .. therefore, 400 ovules- 400 meiotic divisions.... 4 vegetetive cells of pollen grain - 1 complete meiosis... so, 400 pollen grains - 100 meiotic divisions... so, in total, 500 meiotic divisions are needed......answer is c...
