i guess u mean lesion.... any tissue which shudnt be present at the place where it is found is termed as lesion.. even cancerous tissues are lesions.. they are usually termed either malignant or benign lesion (terms mean the same as they mean for cancer).. they are also classified on the basis of their location like skin lesion, stomach ulcer etc... actually, they are of many types and classification can be done on many basis....

@vignesh.....verrucous lesion is a type of lesion on the basis of what??...plz give various types ..thanx.

i guess verrucous lesion is some type of skin lesion.. it is soft and cancerous...

cysts   sacs of fluid or partly solid materials  
papules   pimples: smooth, elevated, solid areas  
pustules   pus-filled sacs (abscesses)  
vesicles   blisters of clear fluid. Bulla/bullae is a/are large  
wheals   slightly elevated inflamed areas (mosquito bite), or larger area: hives (allergies cause)  
macules   freckles or small FLAT moles: discolored, smooth, flat areas  
polyps   mushroom shaped growths on stalks extending from surface of the mucous membrane  
ulcers   open eroding sores  
fissures   slits or grooves in the skin  
Alopecia   baldness, may be hereditary or caused by disease, injury, or treatments like chemotherapy  
Vitligo/leukoderma   loss of pigmentation in patches of the skin, can be related to autoimmune conditions
