X-rays are just like any other kind of electromagnetic radiation. They can be produced in parcels of energy called photonsThere are two different ways adopted to produce x-rays for commercial purpose. One is called Bremsstrahlung,in German name means "braking radiation." The other is called K-shell emission. In this the radiation which is emitted when electrons are decelerated or "braked" when they are fired at a metal target. Accelerated charges give off electromagnetic radiation, and when the energy of the bombarding electrons is high enough, that radiation is in the x-ray region of the electromagnetic spectrum
Its Bremsstrahlung x rays
Bremsstrahlung is german for "Breaking"..............
anyways, I suggest u read http://www.colorado.edu/physics/2000/xray/making_xrays.html
ITs a great article on X-rays and explains Bremsstrahlung xrays as well.....
best of all, its in the form of a teacher student interaction
enjoy!!!
hope this helps
cheers!!
