Purpura (from the Latin, purpura, meaning "purple") is the appearance of red or purple discolorations on the skin that do not blanch on applying pressure. They are caused by bleeding underneath the skin
mainly caused due to vitamin C deficiency or disorders in platlets formation
Perpura is an auto immune disease which is causd due to ovr activation of spleen...this leads to excessive phagocytosis and thus a reduction in platlet count...
Due to this the superficial veins get ruptured and the deoxygenated blood accumulates beneath the skin, leadin to purple coloured patches.
This is perpura.
