A flat sheet of intraembryonic endoderm that will change into a tubular gut due to thefolding of embryonic body-head, tail and lateral body folds.

a flattened base or sheet of endoderm of embryo that during development changes into a tubular gut .this is due to foldings in embryonic parts head tail etc . for ex. see the diagram showing development in birds egg
