It entirely depends on hot or cold the water is.

Let there be 'm' gm of water.

We know Specific Heat capacity(c) of water is 1cal/gm/deg.cel.

Therefore heat supplied by the heater in 15mins = mct=1*m*(100-0)=100m cals.

So heat supplied per minute = 100m/15 cals=6.67m cals

Therefore the heater can supply in 80mins(1hr 20mins)=6.67*80=534mcals(approx.)

Now again

Q=mL(L=Specific Latent Heat)

So, 534m=mL

Finally hence L=534cals/gm.

I want to take a brilliant postal cource for IITJEE2009.I went to download their online enrollment form.But there is Elite And YG File>I cant understand what to take.Plz help me because I have to apply within 2days.Help from existing Brilliant Students will be appreciated.

In the 2nd method
squaring u will get
(x^2n+1/x^2n+2=1)[(a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab]
So ur general result in the end comes out to be wrong.

I am thinking of doing an one Year Correspondence cource of IITJEE from Brilliant with the tests.I am also thinking of applying for the test series of FIITJEE.My queries are ::::::

1>Is there any possibility chance of clash of date of the tests of the Institutes.

2>Will I be able to prepare for FIITJEE tests with the help of Brilliant Study Matterial.

3>Has the RSM changed over the years becuse I have an older version.
