chlorine and nitrogen have very small difference in electronegativity.yet nitrogen can form hydrogen bonds whereas chlorine cannot-why?

in short mechanics is the science of study of motion.

well the answer is not actually zero!i knew that most of you would think that the question is too simple.think deeply about the question!i would like to tantalise your brains a bit more by not giving the answer now.

if nitrogen had the configuration 1s7 which rule/principle relating to distribution of electrons in the orbitals would be violated?

SUPPOSE A STRING OF LENGTH 1 CM ELONGATES BY 1 MM DUE TO APPLICATION OF SOME FORCE (F).HOW MUCH WILL ANOTHER STRING OF LENGTH 2 CM ELONGATE WHEN IT IS APPLIED THE SAME DEFORMING FORCE (F)?EXPLAIN YOUR ANSWER AS BRIEFLY AND COHERENTLY AS POSSIBLE.

when a ball moves it should produce matter wave.then why doesnot the ball describe a wavy motion?

DURING A HAILSTORM ICE PARTICLES FALLING FROM ABOVE SHOULD HAVE VERY HIGH VELOCITY AS  THEY ARE ACCELERATING DUE TO"g".SUPPOSE THEY FALL FROM A HEIGHT OF 5 K.M.THUS WHEN THEY REACH THE GROUND THEY MUST HAVE VERY HIGH VELOCITY OWING TO THE ACC. EXPERIENCED OVER SUCH A LARGE DISTANCE.THEN WHY DONOT THEY CAUSE FRACTURES WHEN THEY FALL ON SOMEONE'S HEAD?

well guys let me tell you that all of you have been quite mislead by the nature of my question.nobody talked about the  very common feature called friction.in this case it is the damping factor associated with the ball.you must be knowing that damping factor is inversely proprtional to mass-the more the mass, less is the damping factor and hence the lead ball hits you harder.

special message to some"dudes":damping factor =k/m

k=constant;m=mass;so you must not require the acceleration, speed etc!

THE MORAL OF THIS MESSAGE IS :BE PERFECT YOURSELF THAN TO TRY AND FIND FAULTS IN OTHERS.

ONE PERSON THROWS A PURE LEAD BALL TOWARDS YOU.ANOTHER PERSON THROWS A BALL THAT IS MADE OF PAPER FROM INSIDE AND COATED WITH LEAD ON THE OUTSIDE.IF THEY ARE THROWN SIMULTANEOUSLY AT THE SAME TIME IN THE OPEN AIR TOWARDS YOU WHICH ONE WILL HIT YOU HARDER?I WANT THE BEST EXPLANATION !!!!!!!

use rotational mechanics to answer the problem-a gold ball and a lead ball coated with golden colur but of same mass as the gold ball are rolling down an inclined plane simultaneously(but donot reach the ground together).how do you distinguish between the real gold ball and the false one?
