please help me how to find composition of two functions.

eg:      f(x)  = x+1    x<= 1
                    2x+1   1<x<=2

g(x)  =  x2        -1<=x<2
           x+2       2<=x <=3

how will u define fog(x) and gof(x)

a uniform mass M length L is held vertically smooth horisontal surface.
when the rod is released choose correct alternative.

1.  CM accelerates vertically
2.. initially, magnitude of normal reaction i s Mg
3. when rod just  becomes horizontal magnitude of normal reaction i s Mg/2

find dy/dx

1) x=sin 3 t / sqrt(cos 2t)
   y= cos3 t/ sqrt(cos 2t)

2)  x= a (cos t + log tan( t/2) )
  y = a sin t

3) x= (a^sin-1 t)^1/2
  y = (a^cos-1 t)^1/2

please help !
