 depends on you, if you dont find it comfortable studying at home then i'd suggest go for the hostel, if you're not able to concentrate at home, then no use.

attend all maths classes,and make sure you do all your module/coaching material problems,in maths quality is more important than quantity,once you get the concept you'll do them in a flow,1st solve your class examples and given material,than if time permits,go for extra ones..atb

go for manipal surely,you'll probably get full scholarship at such rank in any branch,i had a rank of 303 and got full scholarship in ece 2 yrs back and neways manipal>vit,i didnt even give vit,all the best!

144 is the rank you got or marks?
