Here U Go :
BITS : Birla Insitute Of Technology it is located at pilani and goa (and dubai too) and is one of the best institutes in the country...it has its own entrance exam : BITSAT conducted as an online test in a period of around 15 days ( u get to chose the day u want)
NIT : National Institute Of Technology located in 20 different places..these institutes are also among the top...these give addmission thru aieee ranks...the top nits being Warangal,Trichy,Surathkal etc....but dun be under the impression that all nits are good....some arent for eg. patna
DCE/NSIT : Delhi College Of Engineering/Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Institute Of Tech. located in delhi these are among the top colleges in india...as per some ppl these are even better than some nits ! it has its own entrance (cee - only for delhi residents) for those outside delhi it gives addmission on the basis of aieee marks
AND MANY MANY MORE
Some Things: 1. I wrote this all out myself so sorry for any mistakes 2. whatever i wrote was not supposed to offend anyone (esp abt the patna thing but it is ur right to know) 3. read the other posts to get some more info (if u have time)

dude its difficult to predict the answer format without the four options (atleast for me) so if u cud provide the four alternatives or wait for some more brainier person to answer ;)
One Way Is C.R Of 37+30root 3 =37+30x1.732 =C.R Of 88.96 which is almost equal to 4.3/4.4

Here Is A Detailed Solution : Since u have to have ATLEAST 2 ice creams of the same variety we have two cases : a) where 2 are same and third is different b)all three are same
a) if 2 are same, they can be chosen in 8 ways the third can be chosen in 7 ways thus, total ways = 8 x 7 = 56
b) if all three are same considering all three are the same ice cream type, we can chose it from 8 varieties thus total ways = 8
finally, total solutions = a + b = 56 + 8 =64
There is another way (total ways - ways u dun want) but thats a bit weird and frankly i havent mastered it yet ;)
hope it helps best of luck

Guyz, Cud u temme how much marks/rank u need for mech in : 1.IITs (Any) 2.Top NITs (Warangal/Trichy and others) 3.BITS (pilani/goa)
Is it worth to do mechanical engg from the three or shud i opt for VJTI Comps ?? (i am interested in both comps and mech) Vjti is no1 college of mumbai and it gives addmission on basis of cet(quite simple if u know the matter no negative marking and stuff) so what shud i do...i obviously wont get bits/nits/bits comp i know that (if i do it will be AWESOME) IS MECHANICAL WORTH IT IN ANY GOOD COLLEGE ?? (Placement/Demand/etc wise)<< MAIN QUESTION !!!
Please Answer how much ever u know and if u dun atleast make an estimate

No Offence..But Most Of These Ratings Are Wrong..
Here R The Reasons - Kanpur And Kharagpur IIT Are Placed In 1 n 2 and not Delhi And Mumbai which is astonishing.. NSIT Delhi Stands At 32 while DCE At 16... these both r expected in top 20 God Knows y but BITS Goa is not listed...hmm and plenty of more reasons most importantly the iits iiits and nits are all randomly placed it seems

Easiest Way (Acc To Me Atleast)
sin 20 (tan 10 + cot 10 ) <<< SUM = sin 20 (tan 10 + tan 80) <<< tan x = cot (90 -x) = sin 20 (sin 90)/cos10cos80 <<< tana +tanb = sin (a+b)/cosa.cosb = 2 sin 20/cos90+cos 70 = 2 sin 20/cos 70 = 2

What is a limiting reagent ? is it simply the compound among the reactants with lesser moles and gets fully consumed ?? how to determine it ?

depending on what u r aiming for iit or aieee or bits...the "goodness" of r d sharma differs....personally i found r d sharma AWESOME for bits prep...it had all the concepts and millions of solved examples...it was mediocre for aieee and almost as good for iit...it has only 1 but MAJOR flaw....it has no misc exercise for quick revision..it has 1.1 1.2 1.3 onwards but no exercise which combine different kinds of sums..cheers

honestly...that is what i do....when i am travelling back from classes i usually think about what i gonna do during the day.....i am fooling around with the idea of completing one book for eg matrices from ml khanna then going to next chapter...then later say after 5 chapters from ml khanna.....ill revise it the 5 chapters from another book...does that sound alright ?

first of all THANKS A LOT PATHFINDER...for this post and all others u have written earlier...i followed ur advice of being rock rigid for 1 week and now 6 hrs dun seem much difficult (soon ill promote myself to eight :) )....i only have two doubts (both posted as separate questions to experts)...1. since i dun have guidance i cant do last 5-10 sums but the rest i manage....can i get a good enuff rank in bits/aieee by this 2.(a separate question is posted) how much time shud i donate to a chapter....? (if u can please read that question in counselling section named request for pathfinder sir/puneet sir )
THANKS A MILLION

i am not using classes and am preparing on my own......can u tell me how much time i shud spend on one lesson for bitsat/aieee....cuz earlier i used to do one chapter from all books for eg. matrices from ml khanna then brilliant then aieee books and so on but then i wud complete 1 chapter per month !! can u temme how much time i shud spend on an average sized chapter ?? (in hours or whatever) shud i rush and revise or otherwise ? [this counts as one question right ??]
