Very rightly said by Sandhra above, firstly attempt all the questions perfectly.

And to add to your knowledge, if you get 120-130 questions correct (i.e. about 370+ marks- I'm excluding the negative marks), then you'll not only get admission in BITS-Pilani, but you'll also get Computer Science there.

So, attempt the extra questions only if you have to make a guess at less than 10 questions (because you might be knowing that to attempt those extra questions, you need to attempt all the 150 questions). Also you should have ample time for those 12 questions (since no additional time is provided). So, if the situation favours, then surely go for them.

Hope it helps!!!

Actually, gem-diol and vic-diol or any other diol - these are common names. They cannot be regarded as functional isomers.

So, the first two compounds do not exhibit functional isomerism. I'm looking for two compounds which have both osition as well as functional isomerism (in the same way the two compounds that I have given).

But you can consider alpha hydroxy propionic acid in functional isomerism. So, if we consider 1 and 3 or 2 and 3, they have functional isomerism but they do not have position isomerism.

If you want to ask anything, then you may do so!!!

Since I come online here at GOIIT for a very less time, you can nudge me. I'll see it there.

Thanks!!!

This is a question related to Statistics.

Does anyone know what QUARTILE DEVIATION is???

Please give the method explaining what it is and how to calculate it.

Last year, a question related to Quartile Deviation came in DCE-CEE.

We have to consider for x>0 only because the functions are defined for x>0 only.

I think the option (iv) that you have given is . Since there was some confusion in that option, so I gave how I have understood it.

Option (iv) is incorrect because it is not true for x=1.

Option (iii) is incorrect because f(x) is not defined for x=1. So, option (iii) is not always equal to 1.

Option (ii) is incorrect because of the following reason:-

At x=1, f(x) tends to infinity. So, 1/f(x) tends to zero. Whereas, at x=1, g(x) is equal to one (it is not approximate one, but it's an exact one)

But option (i) is correct.

Hope it helps!!!

If you have any doubts, then you may ask!!!

And regarding your first question, please retype it using Insert Equation. The question is not clear. And please mention if there's a use of greatest integer function (if any).

For example, consider the following examples. According to me, they exhibit both position as well as functional isomerism.

Now, can you give me one more example of this kind.

Please help!!!

You'll be given a small writing pad consisting of 8 plane sheets. You have to return that pad to the invigilator after he/she writes your score on it.

If you have a genuine reason for it, then try to contact the concerned authorities. May be your problem will be solved.

I don't know if it's too late or not. But still for your satisfaction, contact them. But I think if they allow, then you'll have to give the exam at BITS-Pilani. Check their site.

BEST OF LUCK !!!
