Ramya i thnk u are vry wrong in comparing govt college and ats also college of nit reputation wid private college
I m frm nit warangal, half of ma college is IIT cleard but gt rank above 2500 so didnt go for iit and came here( keeping branch in consideration)
and placement is in ma college isatleast 10 times better den thapar and pec. talkin abt infrastructure, ma college provides me wid evrythng wat is essential 4 me in ma studies yaa but doesnt provide me wid an A.C rom cos it doesnt feel need 2 do so. All , if nt all den most of d private college is functionin jst becos dey provide us wid more facility and luxury which we as student do not desperatly need and finally brand name; go 2 any part of d country and jst say niy atleast all student will realise wat college u r talkin abt! Come here and talk abt Thapar and PEC noone hv even heard dere names here

Right now I am doing CSE from NIT WARANGAL

I thnk rankin is better than Indian Today but still hv doubt in it due 2

1. low rankin of Thapar

2. NSIT delhi placin below DCE

3. Colleges of Banglore place above many NIT

I hv been alloted NIT WARANGAL in the 2nd list(dropout) but I dnt knw d stream.My rank aieee is 9059 can any1 predict wat will i get.

Also I m 99% sure dat I will get mech or electronics in Thapar..... so wat shud i choose.I resides in delhi so wat would be a better option???????

btw how is nit warangal campus??????????????

I think all those ppl who have made into IIST extended list must hv made into other gud colleges thru state exam and aieee, I personally feel its better to take admission thru aieee and state cee
as IIST has jst opened, it does not have a proper campus, ur field will be very limited( please don't confuse urself with aveonics and aerospace engg. being equivalent aeronautical engg.) job opp. will also be very limited.

I must say all these coll. are B grade coll, the'll boast of gr8 campus and placement but 'its not dat so
Inall these coll. u'll easily get admission if ur rank is 60000-75000 in aieee, then how can these coll be really gud??

PPL let tell u my experience about dropping
Last yr i got 14k in aieee and got gud ranks in wbjee and just made into dce(civil) but decided to give another shot
while prep. i was very satisfied and everythg was fine actually gud
but this time my results r out
IIT = extended list; AIEEE=9k, cusat =272
THE PROBLEM IS DAT WHEN U DROP A YEAR PPL HAS A LOT BIGGER EXPECTATIONS
EVERY 1 WANTED ME 2 GET IN IIT WID AVERY GUD RANK
ATLEAST SHUD HAVE SECURED ARND 3K IN AIEEE
THUS I CAN ONLY SAY DAT IF U R DROPPING TY UR BEST 2 DO AS MUCH POSSIBLE COS IF U FAILED U R DOOMED!!!

i m also frm delhi and a dropout and therefore can definatly say u wont make it 2 NIT kurukshetra ;abt itm and ymca i think u will cos 1 of my frndhas got 1.5 lakh in aieee and is studying in itm mech. and he says he has gone by merit
just hope 4 best
