Is B Tech Areospace career prospects only for research programs like ISRO etc or this degree valid for job prospects in airline/aircraft industry. What were the placements for this department i.e. which companies were recruiting for this department.
Any experts/ IITians please reply.

Hi experts,
Just a guidance on what would be the best options considering my rank of 624 and good future on faculty chosen.
Personally prefer Elect, Mech or Aerospace in good IITs but not sure whether i am making the right choices.
Thanks for your views and replies.

This is the last chance for all persons apperaing for aieee more than three attempts. From next year onwards only a maximum of three consecutive attempts would be allowed.
Please refer to 6.3 of AIEEE brochure. The number of attempts which the candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03(three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. One Time Exemption : candidate who have already availed three attempts or more will be permitted to appear in All India Engineering/Architecture Examination 2008 as a last chance.

Based on last two years closing ranks for IIT Delhi other than a) Computer science & Engineering B tech 4 yrs b) Electrical engineering B tech 4 yrs c)Computer science & Engineering - Dual Degree d) Electrical Engineeing& INF & Comp TECh 5 years Dual degree e) Mechanical engineering B Tech4 years f)Mathematics and Computing 5 years
you should be able to get any other department at IIT Delhi. If rank between 500 and 1000 then you could get Mechanical Engineering and Maths & computing also.

Bansal and Resonance first option
PACE in Mumbai Second option.
Advantages- Bansal/Resonance
a) Attendance not required for regular school or college and hence have extra time for studies b) Mumbai always involves travelling from home to school/ college/ classes and lot of time wasted in commuting which causes physical tiredness leading to lesser no. of hours for studies. c) Kota classes have the principle of regular DPP( Daily Practice problems)which if done diligently keeps you abreast of all topics at all times. It is normal that you tend to forget what is taught/studied in the earlier months if not continuously revised thru DPPs. d) Lack of diversions like TV/close friends/messing upon study time. e) One should strive and perform well in regular tests to be allotted the top ranking batches so that you perform better in company of best students in the coaching class.
Both cases involve focussed studies and hard work.
Disadvantages - KOTA should be able to withstand harsh weather conditions/stomach for not so good hygenic conditions/ability of staying independent taking care of regular daily chores which is automatically taken care at home./some people have problems of hard water at Kota/ choosing the right hostel having the right atmosphere for studies and no other activity.

Sagar,
I would suggest appear both for AIEEE and MH CET. With 50% marks in AIEEE last year you could get a seat in Sardar Patel Mumbai for comp science and Electronics in the second round. MH-CET would require you to obtain about 190 plus for the same seat.
