Hi Himani, Well, it is not necessary always to follow format. You may use your concept and get the closing balance of cash reconciled. However tis easier to use the format & it also removes complications to get the statement hence it is recommended. The bank checks the Debt Equity ratio before granting loan because it wants to check your ability to pay back the loan. Suppose some one asks you for money, then you need to chk whether he can pay back or not & so does the bank. There are many rules for depreciation & it varies from organisation to organisation. Method of depreciation deopends on the nature of work, it can vary among different organisations.
