= (sin x +1) (sin x - 6)
max value is when sin x = -1 ..... ie. 0
min. value is when sin x = 1 ....ie. -10
so range is [-10, 0]

and got answer still as 17 :D
but it didn't match for x = 5
ah well a cubic was needed LOL
