ya i had the same doubt earlier but see

firstly , 3 degree carbocat has 9 alpha hydrogens involved in hyperconjugation so compared to allylic where there are 2 resionating structures it is more stable . so i guess first part is clear .

and about stability of singlet and triplet carbene whenever effects like resonance , backbonding ,hyp. are absent triplet is more stable , and vice versa .
svj is right in his explaination but mine can be generally applied .

LET ME BE MORE CLEAR THE TWO PLATES ARE AT SAME POTENTIAL SO CONNECTING THEM BY A WIRE DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE RIGHT . SO MY TWO PLATES AND REDUCING IT TO ONE PLATE IS NOT THE SAME , I GUESS .

I KNOW HOW TO SOLVE SUCH PROBLEMS BUT JUST WANTED TO KNOW THIS CLEARLY . THANK YOU FOR ALL UR EFFORTS

but u can allways store charges in between the two plates right ???????? see the answers given by TARINBANSAL , ASTATINE , INDRAJEET SIR . and all of u who say it acts as a capacitor for that matter ,

THE TWO PLATES ARE AT THE SAME POTENTIAL SO CONSIDERING IT AS ONE PLATE OR TWO PLATE ?????? LIKE IN THE QUESTION I ORIGINALLY ASKED THE TWO PLATES ARE AT THE SAME POTENTIAL SO I CAN DISMISS THEM AS JUST THE EFFECT DUE TO ONE PLATE RIGHT BUT THAT IS NOT SO IT IS LOWER THAN THE EFFECT OF ONE PLATE SO U CANT CONSIDER IT AS ONE PLATE AS PER OUR PREVIOUS ARGUMENTS THAT THE SYSTEM HAS LOWER CAPACITANCE THAN THAT DUE TO JUST ONE PLATE.

look oppositely charge is brought close to a charged plate to decrease its potential and inturn increase capacitance.
the plate as such also has capacitance , i mean isolated .

so if u bring plate with same charge density then it creases potential but decreases capacitance but still its gotta be a finite value.

look its not necessary that the charges on the opposite plate is by the process of induction u can allways have a system like this what u say is right , that u have to charge both plates , given this system can it have a finite value of capacitance ???

u say it wud decrease , agreed , but does it have capacitance ???????

what i read in many books is that opposite and equal charges are taken to decrease the field thats all a single conductor has capacitance . now the book doesnt mention if like charged cap. can have capacitance

IN PARALLEL PLATE CAPACITORS CAN A SYSTEM OF TWO PARALLEL PLATES OF EQUAL AREA , SAME CHARGE DENSITIES HAVE CAPACITANCE ??

    |+             +|                     E inside = 0

    |+             +|                     dv/dr =  0

    |+             +|                    v= constant

    |+             +|                    hence potential is nonzero

    |+             +|                   so c =q/v which is a finite value ????

    |+             +|

    |+             +|

pretty close call but i wud suggest u can hav an effect similar to hyperconjugation acting here , making nh3+-nh3+ have a partial d.bond charecter so shorter bond length now further i say this coz N and C have comparable sizes

no u shudnt segregate physical and organic and also inorganic for example the reaction mechanisms are many time reinforced by thermodynamic , kinetics etc which come under physical chem . now a reagent used may be inorganic so definitely u even study reagents .

all the three branches go hand in hand .

moreover many carbon compounds are inorganic look at co2 .

at the same time physical chem. deals with carbon which is also a physical element u see . so there are inter linkages between all these fields but for our convineance what ever is told to u in the above threads is correct.
