Vaw = 400km/hr and Va should be along AB or in the north-est direction. THUS, the direction of Vaw should be such as the resultant of VW and Vaw is along AB or in north -east direction .

Let Vaw makes an angle X with ab is shown in the figure . APPLYING sine law in triangle ABC we get the solution as posted

vw=sooroot2 km/hr(BC)

vaw=400km/hr (AC)

va = speed of plane alone (AB)

AC/sin45 =BC/sinX

X=300

now byformula

Va/sin(180-45-30) = 400/sin45

hence solving we get Va=546.47km/hr

so now  t=AB/ Va=1000/546.47 = 1.83 hrs

Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Physical Chemistry -> what is the enthalpy of adsorption is it heat required or heat evolved -> Go to message

During adsorption,there is always decrease in residual forces of the surface i.e there is decrease in surface energy which appears as heat.This is known as heat of adsorption.
Adsorption,therefore,is invariably accompanied by evolution of heat,i.e it is an exothermic process.In other words delta H of adsorption is always negative.

let the triangle be ABC right angled at A as said

here sicC=c/a

cosC=b/a

hence tanC=c/b

   -1/tanC

=root of c2+b2   -b/c

which is a-c/b

u=10m/s
t=5s
S=50m
s=ut+1/2at^2

50=50+25a/2

25a/2=0
a=0

therefore the motion may be with constant velocity
hence no2 is correct

now as a=0 therefore it can be no4 because acc. and retardation will cancel each other making avg. acc. =0
hence no4
hence option b
