just not ur class 12 %age,they also consider ur performance in exams like IITJEE and AIEEE and a good rank in any of these increases ur chances to get into it

No branch is good or bad...it depends upon ur choice ...if u enjoy it then u will not be bored...otherwise u can get horribly bored in civil engg(this is wat my NITian seniors told me) Nowadays placements for civil engg just rock....the guy(civil engg frm NIT Warangal) who told me this got placed in a big contsn company in Mumbai

i agree ...becoz of bonus questions i scored 272/450 i attempted the bonus questions... my frnds(much better students than me) who didnt attempt the bonus questions could score only around 250-260

precisely telling,1st ionisation potential is the energy required to remove an electron from the outermost shell of an neutral gaseous atom

the energy req to remove an electron is the 1st ionisation pot and the energy req to remove the second electron is 2nd ionisation potential second ioni pot>1st ioni pot as there will be more energy req to remove electron after 1st electron is removed because the effective nuclear charge on each electron increases due to less shielding effect
