just not ur class 12 %age,they also consider ur performance in exams like IITJEE and AIEEE and a good rank in any of these increases ur chances to get into it

No branch is good or bad...it depends upon ur choice ...if u enjoy it then u will not be bored...otherwise u can get horribly bored in civil engg(this is wat my NITian seniors told me)
Nowadays placements for civil engg just rock....the guy(civil engg frm NIT Warangal) who told me this got placed in a big contsn company in Mumbai

i scored 272/450
i attempted the bonus questions...
my frnds(much better students than me) who didnt attempt the bonus questions could score only around 250-260
