when there is liquid the lens acts as a planoconcex lens
with R1=R(RADIUS OF CURVATURE OF CONCEx LENS)
R2=INFINITY(PLANE SURFACE)
THE FOCAL LENGHT OF THE COMBINATION IS GIVEN BY;
1/F=1/f1+1/f2
where f1=f of convex lens
f2=focal lenght of liq lens
1/f2=(n-1){1/R1-1/R2)
     =(n-1)/R1
in the problem a=F and b=f1  so solve for f2 and substitute it in the eqn and then u'll get an expression for n

in PCl5 p is in its highest oxdn state so it cannot attain any higher oxdn state as it has no electron to donate so it can only get reduced and hence acts as a oxidising agent

when u draw resonance structures for phenol  u will get negative charge on ortho and para positions. no2 being a electron withdrawing group stabalises the negative charge and hence makes it more acidic and as the negative charge doesnt come on meta position presence of NO2 in meta position has no effect..para is more acidic because of symmetry

the resistivity of conductor increases with temp because the atoms gain kinetic energy and start oscillating which obstructs the flow of current but in a semiconductor the energy due to increase in temp breaks the bond and hence provides more electron for conduction

the potential diffrenc is directly propotional to resistance..hence tha potential drop acroos the 12 ohm resistor is greater therefore the potential at B is less than at A hence the current flows from A to B......
