Dear Kiran, The material is obtained by voluntary contributions from experts including x-IITians, profssors and even from students IITs thenselves. This is a community and the intent is to eventually have contributions from members who want to give back to the gang, who has helped them in some way. Any sort of contributions from the members would be great. The expert panel just needs to verify it and it will be put up on the site with the contributors information. For any other type of query, you can mail directly to the team at contact at goiit.com The material currently is already prepared an currently with the creative team. We are trying hard to bring the material to the members fast, but the enormity of the material is makng the process slower. Hence it will be added gradually on a regular basis. ~forum adminitrator

you can also click on the first top button and a panel opens up for symbols and super/sub scripts. If you click on a symbol, it gets selected. If you want to make super script or subscript, select a text you wasn to make super script and press the second last button in the panel. you will get a super script. To get back to normal mode, click on the same button again. ~forum administrator

hmmmm...... Nickel is the goIIT currency which you have, in order to ask questions from the experts. When you join goIIT, you get 5 nickels by default. for every question you as you spend one nickel. If you wish to earn more nickels, you have to refer friends. If a friend of yours joins, you get 2 nickels (i.e. 2 more questions to ask the experts). The bigger the community, the lesser you'll need the experts for help, as your friends will help you only. So get more friends involved and help others. The expert team is a very reputed and busy gang, so we cant ping them all the time. That is why the concept of nickel evolved on the site. More documentation on this will be up by day after tomorrow. also you dont need to spend nickels while asking the community. nickels are spent only when you ask an expert. so use it wisely! Dear Kiran, One of the main reason why goIIT came into existance was to break the barriers of distance. I'm sure soemone will help you with FIITJEE papers, but goIIT is conduting an all india pre-jee test on 9th-10th dec'06. The idea is to help students identify their weaknesses in various topics. Dear Himani, I'm afraid you can ask only one question at a time from the experts in one topic. So you need to create five such topics to ask all five questions. The expert team is an extremely busy community of highly placed people in the fields of technology and education. So we cant bombard them with so many questions at the same time  Break these questions down in 5 topics. I'll consider just the question (1) as a valid question for this thread. Dear Sharwari,
goIIT has been started with the final aim of ensuring that the students dont have to pay for anything. so its for free. However the test will be on first come first serve basis. The registration for the test will start in next 8-10 days. The test is being conducted in association with Hindustan Times, who is helping us create the awareness in the students for the same. Make sure you keep checking the site homepage for the next week or so. The test will be conducted on 9th and 10th dec (tentatively). you can appear in any of the two days. The test will try to be as close to the 2007 JEE format as possible. do tell your friends about it too. The more the merrier  . Lets build a community where every one gets a chance to excel.

Ideally we should have put the material up on the site by now, but currently the entire expert team is busy preparing for the upcoming all india pre-jee nline test. As a result the dates for the material posting have been shifted by a few days. We should have a lot more material added in the next couple of weeks or so.
do register for the online test as it will provide you an insight about your current preparation status with detailed analysis. the details will be up by end of this week.
