hi
i am going to write my jee in 2008(1st attempt)
i also really struggle wit chem (in my coaching i get 60%-65% in math and phy but about 20 in chem)
however recently i tried a new approach and my marks really improved
basically all you have to do is know the relative sizes and electronegativities of the elements
then use polar effects its very effective
here are some important points
when sizes of anion & cation are similar, high stability, mp, etc
when charge in not localised high stability ex I- more stable than Cl-
a highly polar bond is most likely to brake
and so on
use the same principles 4 inorgg
