moment of inertia of a sphere about an axis through its centre is 2/5 mr^2how does it change when half of the sphere is cut off?if we take center of sphere as origin,. centre of mass of hemisphere is 3R/8 from origin.what is moment of inertia of hemisphere about an axis through this center of mass?

for 2nd grp hydroxides(Ca2+,Ba2+etc),lattice energy decreases less slowly as we move down the grp.and hydration energy almost remains constant.but it is not so for sulphates carbonatesetc why is it so

thanks i got the answer. the problem was that i couldnt get the difference b/w surface and line integral.in gauss theorem  we  consider a 2D surface around  the conductor but in amperes theorem  we consider a loop sorrounding the conductor.. for a solenoid if we  consider a loop  sorroundig it the  net  current through it is zero.. so field outside  is   zero. am i correct? fastplzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

also  if we consider  aloop inside the solenoid  there is no current through it. but thre is field inside .  why  is it so?
