indeed work done is zero in circular motion...
i.e why speed does not change.... however its direction keeps on changing...

by work energy theorem/
work done=change in kinetic energy

as speed does not change
change in ke=0
therefore work done =0

as the plates are connected by the conductor the charge will flow til the potential of the plates will become equal...
now the total charge on the plates =q-q=0

therefore there would not be any electric field, potential,m charge and hence capacitance.....

electrostatic fields can not be circular as the electric field lines cant form closed loops...

magnetic field can be circular which is for a straight line conductor....

i dont know abt gravitational field but i think it cant b circular....
dont hav the precise idea

squaring both sides

x^4=x^2(1+sin2x)
x4-x2(1+sin2x)=0
x2(x2-1+sin2x)=0

x=0 or
x=sinx-cosx
=root(2){sin(x+pi/4)}

the most part of the atom of the foil is empty.. hence the alpha particles pass through...

answer should be 2...

tarin might be right abt the 1st option but m nt sure abt it so won t suggest it to ya.... and moreover no examination wud award u for such an answer.. i think evn the answer in the solution wud b 2

Y=2X/X^2+1

x^2y + y=2x

x^2 y -2x+y=0
x={2+(4-4y^2)^1/2}/2
x=1+root(1-y^2)

for x to be real 1-y2>0
y2-1<0
y belongs to [-1,1]

Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Mechanics -> why is it that you need more power to pedal a flat tyre -> Go to message
This Post 0 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 0 votes )   [?]
7 replies
power is product of force and velocity...

when the tyre is flat, the total surface area and hence the effective area of contact increases.. due to which the force of friction increases... thus more power force is required to push the vehicle against the increased force of friction..

hence power will be more...

Apply law of conservation of energy

At the bigger planet Potential energy is U1=-(GM1m/R1+ GM2m/r)
where M1 and R1 are mass and radii of the planet A
M2 and r=R2+10a are the mass and distance from the planet B
and m is the mass of the body

Next at the surface of the other planet the potential energy is U2= -(GM2m/R2 + GM1m/r)
where the parameters are the same except that r=R1+10a

now applying the law of conservation of energy

U1+1/2mv^2=U2

hence get the value of v....

Let the Capacitances be
C1 the 1st vertical one....
C2 and C3 the horizontal ones next 2 it..
C4 the next vertical one..
and C5 and C6 the other 2....

now C1 C4 C5 and C6 are ineffective as their terminals are at the same potential(note that they are connected by a non resistance path.....)

Therefore the only effective capacitances across the points are C2 and C3 each of which has a value C and are connected in parallel...
therefore the resultant capacitance is 2C...

please rate and nudge me for any doubts
