the magnet will stop due to eddy currents induced.(if thhe conducting non magnetic pipe is long enough and the magnet is strong enough)

maybe because different wave lenghts of light are refracted in a different angle. therefore they do not converge at one single point in the axis

hey dude, the tv and tubelight are both i think different discharge tubes and they flicker at a rate > once in 1/16 of second. u can see this effect in tublights by moving your eyes rapidly from one side to another. it looks somewahat like this (for a vertical tubelight): |||||||||||||

i guess the buffalo has a larger surface area than the man therefore the current passes through more parts of the body resulting in more damage

since they are forces, u can add them up vectorially. for example , if a test charge is falling due to gravity in a uniform electic field , the test charge stops falling when the electrostatic force due to the field equals the force of gravity.(it depends upon the direction). the total FORCE can be got by adding them up

colour i think depends upon the frequency and wavelength and most importantly OUR EYES. we have chemical pigments(protiens in the cone cells) on our retina that interpret different frequencies and wavelengths into a specific color. i guess they function only between 450-700nm wavelength of light.check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color
rate me if i'm correct or correct me

when an object(glass) is rubbed with silk, the silk acquires a negative charge and the glass is +ve. where do the electrons come from(is it from the surface or the atoms itself)?
