The pressure is immense on all of us to excel and be perfect, which at times we fail to do what is actually required in a particular situation. The biggest irony is we all know there is only one number one, all can't be there, still we do have insatiable want to excel and be prefect in all spheres of life.
They say destiny can't be changed and more over, we have only one destiny. So why not make full use of this opportunity to live it right? When destiny can't be changed, that which can surely change is our attitude towards our life - being positive in our approach under all circumstances. That surely helps in reducing the stress and tensions considerably.

1. Make a "To Do" List Every Day.

Put things that are most important at the top and do them first. If it's easier, use a planner to track all of your tasks. And don't forget to reward yourself for your accomplishments.

2. Use Spare Minutes Wisely.

Get some reading done on the bus ride home from school, for example, and you'll kill two birds with one stone.

3. It's Okay to Say "No."

If your boss asks you to work on a Thursday night and you have a final exam the next morning, realize that it's okay to say no. Keep your short- and long-term priorities in mind.

4. Find the Right Time.

You'll work more efficiently if you figure out when you do your best work. For example, if your brain handles math better in the afternoon, don't wait to do it until late at night.

5. Review Your Notes Every Day.

You'll reinforce what you've learned, so you need less time to study. You'll also be ready if your teacher calls on you or gives a pop quiz.

6. Get a Good Night's Sleep.

Running on empty makes the day seem longer and your tasks seem more difficult.

7. Communicate Your Schedule to Others.

If phone calls are proving to be a distraction, tell your friends that you take social calls from 7-8 p.m. It may sound silly, but it helps.

8. Become a Taskmaster.

Figure out how much free time you have each week. Give yourself a time budget and plan your activities accordingly.

9. Don't Waste Time Agonizing.

Have you ever wasted an entire evening by worrying about something that you're supposed to be doing? Was it worth it? Instead of agonizing and procrastinating, just do it.

10. Keep Things in Perspective.

Setting goals that are unrealistic sets you up for failure. While it's good to set high goals for yourself, be sure not to overdo it. Set goals that are difficult yet reachable.
Consider these tips, but personalize your habits so that they suit you. If you set priorities that fit your lifestyle, you'll have a better chance of achieving your goals.

The changed pattern of IIT JEE examination from 2006 is aimed at abridging the gap between the CBSE and IIT JEE syllabus and to reduce the stress.

According to the changed pattern, objective type of questions will test not only subjective skills but also analytical skills of the aspirants. The new pattern will enable the students to develop their three dimensional thinking tank.

One should understand that weak foundation at +1 affects not only subject matter but also cultivation if I. Q. and aptitude which is must for IIT JEE.

Impact Of New Pattern

LEVEL OF TOUGHNESS TO REMAIN THE SAME: The debate is on whether the competition became easier or tougher. It is an issue, which is subject to a particular student's approach. For some it became simple. For others, it became tough. Overall toughness of the competition is unlikely to change as it is not a function of the difficulty level of the examination but of the selection percentage.

The number of students aspiring for IITJEE will not reduce in IITJEE 2006. In IITJEE 2007, when students will only be allowed 2 attempts, the reduction in number of students who could have appeared is likely to be offset by the new aspirants. In other words, those students who used to not appear in IITJEE thinking that it requires a special kind of preparation will also appear with a strong foundation of Class XI- XII. The selection percentage will stay around 2%, making it one of the toughest entrance criteria in the world.

Seats

The number of students taking this examination has increased substantially each year with the JEE-2006 registering about 300,000 candidates (the number of exam-takers in each of the previous five years was under 200,000). The number of seats available in total is about 5500, indicating a selectivity of about 1 in 50. The break-up of seats for 2005 and 2006 is:
Institute Intake (2005) Intake (2006) Intake (2007)
IIT Bombay 574 574 574
IIT Delhi 553 553 553
IIT Guwahati 302 365 365
IIT Kanpur 555 555 541
IIT Kharagpur 779 895 874
IIT Madras 550 520 540
IIT Roorkee 577 616 746
Total (IIT's) 3890 4078
IT-BHU 643 708 686
ISM Dhanbad 402 658 658
TOTAL 4935 5444
The age limit for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years. For candidates belonging to SC, ST and PD categories, the relaxed age limit is 30 years. Also, starting 2007, a candidate can take the JEE two times at the most. This has been done mainly to reduce stress on students and discourage the concept of "cram schools" ? where students are made to memorize all types of possible exam questions. Furthermore, from 2007 onwards, students who are selected for admission to an IIT cannot attempt the examination again in the future.

all the newton's forces are applicable only in an inertial frame(non accelerating frame )
but newton's law's have become a common phenomenon that we want to apply even when we are in a non inertial frame....
we can do this by applying an imaginary force = the mass of body observed*the acc. of the non inertial frame of reference ........ in the direction opposite to the acc. of non inertial frame...
this is done as the person in non inertial frame(acc. frame) will not find any acc. of object kept on his frame(eg a moving car and a person observing the steering wheel)
so to balance the forces this is done

hope u got the concept......
do rate if u find it useful

3x = (4-1)x +(-1)x
5y = (4+1)y + 1
7z = (8-1)z + (-1)z

so any positive integral power of 5 will be in the form of 4x +1 . even power of 3 and 7 will be in the form of 4x+1 and odd power in the form of 4x-1 .
thus required no. of divisors is 8.(3.5 +3.5) = 240

IIT is one of the most sought after destinations for which it is necessary to compete with about two lakh students and get one of the approximately 3,500 seats. You can be a winner if you believe in yourself; you know your needs and also the place where these needs can be fulfilled. You as an individual are different than others and hence are your requirements. You may be able to do self-study and need help on few selected topics only. Or, you may be of the kind who needs a start and rest can be managed by you if proper strategy and temperament control assistance is made available to you. Or, you may just need to get tested time to time as you progress on your preparation and availability of some assistance on taking corrective steps may do miracles for you.

hope this will help u....
  • You need to build strong concept on theories involved in topics as per the syllabus by studying them, thinking about them, arguing about various alternatives and strong reasoning.
  • Application of concepts through practice on conceptual problems of varied difficulty level. Selection of difficulty level is very crucial as non-conceptual difficult questions disturb your preparation.
  • Setting the strategies right. How much time to give on different subjects? What topics to be given priority? When to finish the syllabus? How many times revision should be done? What should be done just before the examination? How many questions should be practiced? What to do if you don?t enjoy the subject? What books to study and when? How to pace the preparation? How much marks one should target at? You should know the answer to these questions and these answers should not be the general one but should be specific to you.
  • Temperament control during preparation phase and examination. Preparation for such a competitive examination over a period of one year, two years or even more will take you through many mood swings. How to stay focused? What should you do to generate positive energy in you and overcome any negative thoughts during the process? Answers are person specific and have great impact on your success.
  • Frequent evaluation of progress and taking corrective measures.
