Manipal is not as good as iit , nit , or bits or other similar institutes which lie in first 25 list of best enginering coll.

but ya its quite good and the best afterthese institutes .

so if you dont et admission in iit, nit or bits then definately go for manipal and dont eventhink of vit or other such institutes..

About the placements ya manipal has got descent placements with highest package of about 13 lakh pa ..

yar ab dhek daiict me jo baccho ka caliber hai vo to nit and iiit ke bachho ke barabar hai but being a new institute it will take time to develop.

what i mean to say is that if you are getting a choice to have a seat in 2 institute which according to you are of the same reputation  and you dont know much about both the institue but you just have an idea/myth/reumor that both are just the same then go for the one which is older....

placements stats also show that bits pilani goa campus is not developed at all as the highest package is just 7 lakhs ..

Moreover all the nits and iits are deemed university . But  bits pilani goa campus is not a deemed university but is affiliated to bits pilani which is a deemed universoity..

Age is the most important facor for a college . iiit-h is a college providing only cs and it branches which need good labs and can operate in very small campus with fewer number of workshops and all More over it is only one of a kind of government college which provides dedicated computer engineering branches so it has gained popularity in the industry so quickly. But if you are talking about colleges which provides all the branches including it and core then the older it is the better . Yoi can easily look  at the examples of all the top colleges of the world be it be mit , cithongkonguniversity , iit or any nit  all have developed reputation over a long period of time and none of the collegs are less then 20 years old.

the very thing that u said that you are reding foreign author books for your syllabus shows that bits goa (or bits pilani goa campur ) whatever you call it is in its development phase because if you see any other college like iit, nit or even bits pilani refer to books written by their own college professors..

Ok let me make i clear to you all what ever i said earlier about my college nit jaipur was wrong it was just to see ur reaction . actually its a nice college and good enviroment of studies and you can place it above bits goa at present (dont know about the future). As far as bits pilani is compared to nit jaipur then let me tell you that pilani is better then nit jaipur just because of a single reason that it is much older then nit jaipur. nit jaipuris constructed in1964 as an rec and pilani was made in 1947..

So the older an institute the better. Bits goa needs at least 10 years more to be like nit's or iit's .

i am talking about nit jaipur (mnit)....

And please make yourself clear about what you mean to say...

Okay the better reasons for joining mnit

1 huge campus (320 acres)

2 great infrastructure .

3.descent curicullum

4.great placements

5. good facilities (including the one mentioned in earlier replies hehehehehehhe)

One of my senior was caught red handed ( or i must say red dic***)  in my gf's room by the warden and got f grades in all the courses of that sem and still managed to get a staggring package of 24.5 lakhs per annum after 2 years when he completed his b-tech..

I am so sorry dude that you are hurt by my words . But this is the reality and you will have to accept it once you enter any college and you will also have to follow our footsteps..

What do you think hat i am a  failure. Let me tell you that i secured aieee air 1980 and iit-jee air 3490 when i wrote my exams in 2007 .Mai koi duffer nahi hu bus yahe to sab part of life  hota hai which is compulsory for each and every one and remember my words kabhi na kabhi to tuhe bhi yahe sab karna hoga aur us samay tujhe mere baate yaad aayege aur tu mere gungan karega...

see one of my friend got admission over there through nri sponcered quata..

He told me that he had to arrange some sponseror who was nri and related to him and then he had to pay some extra 30,000 us dollay apart from the normal fee.

Thats where mnit takes the leed. our college considers every field and need of a student . No one is forced to do anything which he/she doent want to. Our warden is kind enough to allow us to go to library at 12 or 1 in night but what he doent knows is that we are heading towards our girl friend's bed.

none of us are virgin any more . thanks to our kind warden..

Bits goa me ladkiya itne mast nahi hai..

in nit jaipur girls are really hot ...

patane me bhi mushkil nahi hote and some times you can even make your way into the girls hostal at night and after having some pleasure time with your girl friend you can  hide your way back to your hostal in the morning...

Is it possible in bits  ???
