well i mentioned 'last time' in the topic itself....mite rite another article if i feel very strongly about a subject...

thanx guys....had written this article to comfort all those who didnt make it....including (somwat) myself :)

slasher, i dont want to say wat i have said in the last nudges again...
here i m compiling the things we agree on and things i dont think u r rite at :
firstly, things we agree on:
1) neither of us believe in the existence of God, whereas i m agnostic, u appear to be atheist
2) the reason for our being on earth is to find why we r here (but we contradict rite after this)
3) genes play a significant role in shaping a person

thats all i m afraid :)
lets now compile things we disagree on :
1) everyone is equally intelligent and everyone has the same aptitude
2) everyone shud study science coz thats the reason we r here on this earth
3) everything in this world can be explained in terms of mathematical equations
4) science doesnt have limitations
5) study of science is the most crucial thing in this world
6) u give more weightage to probability than do
7) everything including me and u in this world is insignificant
8) we shud think on a universal scale rather than on a human scale

thats all i cud pin point...if there r more things, u can highlight them

the worst part about watever u said was that everyone shud study science and all shud contribute towards further scientific advancement and every individual who fails to so lives in vain
and a gud thing about u is that u r really proud of watever u r doing and u r genuinely and generally intersted in the career option u have chosen

we r differnt individuals brot up in entirely different environments and i dont see y any of us shud agree wat the other is saying
i see no point in continuing this debate bcoz we r moving in a vicious circle....we r saying the same things again and again....and honestly speaking i m getting bored of this now....coz nobody else is coming and joining this discussion....i dont see any utility of typing such long comments....we r doing nothing but wasting our time....u go ahead and discover the next big thing while i move on with my life....it was nice indulging in this discussion...and talking to u

u know wat even after so much of contradictions, we havent moved far, and i feel both of us agree on many things as well

look i m not much into science and especially biology so, frankly speaking, half of wat u copied from wikipedia relating to deja vu went above my head.....and please dont think u r the only one who think out of the box....

look, wat do u wish? do u want everyone on this planet to become a scientist or an engineer?
tell me something : can u spend the rest of ur life without any sort of entertainment? can u spend even one normal day without supplying pleasure of any kind to ur senses?
i believe there r four kind of people in this world :
1) people who study science, invent things and make us more technologically advanced and make our life easier. These kind of people generally become scientists and engineers.
2) people who entertain others. this kind includes actors, musicians, directors, authors, etc. they r high on creativity.
3) people who do nothing but earn money. they dont much indulge in entertaining themselves coz they hardly get time out of earning money
4) people who dont earn much or any money. theytake advantage of wat the other three categories provide : technology, entertainment, money. these kind of people score high on spreading love.

each one of these categories is as important as the other three, none can do without the other categories. tell me can u do without your mother who probably belong to the fourth category or ur father who probably belong to either the second or the third category?
and if u say that the only mission people have on this earth is to help in scientific advancement, then in a way u r saying that all people who r not scientists or engineers live in vain...dont u think this planet will become a boring place tp live in if wat u want happens. if u think everything can be explained in terms of mathematical equations then can u provide me with the equation of love and hatred?
i also acknowledge the fact that a lot depends on probability and luck but u cant base anything and everything on it, can u?
science has its limitations and u cant disagree on that
u can never tell who was the first living organism...u can never be sure on big bang....remember heisenbergs uncertainity principle....there r many things which science can only speculate and can never give a radical explanation to. u know wat leave evrything, just tell me the reason of deja-vu (it is happening of something, even if just for a second that u have seen already in ur dreams) i m sure u must have experienced this many times
i feel the end of this debate is as impossible as the possibilty of science explaining the basis of dreams and deja-vu...

look timeslasher i firmly believe in one thing : u will be able to do hard work and will be able ti give ur 100% only in something u r genuinely interested in
lets come ack to the a r rahman example, i agree he was not born with the abilities to play music, he learnt evrything wen he was growing up....but think :u also must have been introduced to music at some age, then y didnt u take it up as ur profession, simply coz u lack the aptitude and passion that ar rahman had, ditto goes with rahman, he also must have been introduced to scientific probs at some age and he also didnt think of making a career out of it coz he wasnt genuinely interested in it.
see i think the basic difference between the two of us is that u have a scientific mind and i have a creative head and i dont reckon u wud ever agree iwth wat i m saying, neither wud i agree iwth watever u r blurting
i was talking about newton wen he was ur age....the world and the history abounds with prodigies like einstein....
genes play a significant role in shaping a person.....certain people are gifted and u cant deny or oppose that...waddya say?

compare a r rahman and u...have u ever thot of playing music?
pardon me but i think u dont score high on creative level thats why u wont understand fully wat i m saying.....and wat wud difference wud it make if u think on a universal level wen it is not even confirmed that life exists or not in any other planet....

u said we must study science to study nature but wat about those who r not born with the aptitude, temperament and intelligence to study science
there is a famous quote that i wud like to share :

i agree u wont get anything that u have earned in ur life after ur death, but i think u must live ur life in such way hat people around the world wont forget u even aftre centuries of ur death
u can live in this way either by entertaining people, helping people or by inventing something that wud help people all thru their life....

(Everything below is wat i think is rite. and i aint an expert or something so i dont guarantee that watever follows is rite)

All the major results r out. Some people got excellent ranks, some got avg and some didnt get selected at all. Congrats to everyone, doesnt matter which 'some' they belong to.

I belong to third category of 'some', i e, i didnt get a damn position in any of the entrances i had given. I wud be lying if i say i m not disappointed but yes this failure has taught me something that i wud like to bring forth thru this article. I m writing this stuff on this site coz i think this site needs such stuff the most.

This article basically concerns guys belonging to my category, tho others mite join in as well.

So guys wat r u planning to do :

1) Thinking of dropping an yr?

2) Joining a non-popular unbranded college thru a paid seat?

3) Joining such a college and preparing for JEE simultaneosly?

4) Taking admission in a course other than B.Tech?

Watever u mite be planning, however confused u r rite now, do one thing - ask urself the following ques :

Why was it that u didnt get a desired rank in the college of ur preferance?

did u lack somewhere in ur preparations?

if u seriously think that ur preps werent upto the mark, drop a yr, dont join any college, just drop a yr and study hard. Join a coaching centre if u feel like doing it. if u r confident of ur abilities and self-discipline then i dont think u wud need coaching. if u r not disciplined enuf, then join a coaching. but plz think a 100 times before dropping a yr if u r not sure of ur abilities bcoz u wud stand where u r standing rite now even after dropping a precious yr if u dont have confidence in ur abilities.

now if u think that u were prepared well but messed up with the papers, u r probably lying to urself bcoz u must have given more than one papers and probability doesnt say that u can screw all the papers. theres something lacking in u,it was neither the mistake of the paper or the paper setter.dont bloody blame them.

and if u think that u were prepared well but dont know wat went wrong and if u r still to understand why u didnt get desired ranks, then this article is pretty much for u. u probably r not meant to be engineers. scrounge urself and think : do u really wanna do B.tech? is there something else u r passionate about? some sport that u like more than most things in this world? some hobby that u r unusually fond of? some activity that u can do no matter wat ur mood is?

if it is so, then forget B.Tech, trust me, it sucks no matter wat the world around u says. there r lacs (probably millions) of students who enrol for this sucking course ( no offence meant) every yr. b.tech used to be an elite course, but it is no more now coz there r so many colleges these days which offer u paid seats that the scene now is : every tom, dik and harry can do b.tech in any damn field. if u wanna become a tom, dik or harry, its ur choice but remember ur choice sucks even more.

lets come back to ur interests, ur passions. u probably thot of b.tech coz it guarantees placements, money, job and such secondary stuff. and u probably didnt follow ur interests coz it didnt guarantee money. bad thinking, i wud say.

think about it. is a b.tech, mbbs, llb and such degrees pre-requisite for success? do the people who dont have these never earn money in their lives? the fact is that most of the popular, rich and famous people (i dont think i need to give u names) dont have such degrees ( tho i have no stats to support this).

the general mistake that most non-successful people commit is : they pursue money and dont give a sh*t to their passions. follow ur dreams, heart-felt dreams that is, and money will follow u. if u have full confidence in urself and ur passions then dont listen to wat others r saying, i dont say money is not important but i think u urself r much more important. dont strangle ur dreams. u r here on this earth with a mission and plz dont die before accomplishing that or u wud die a loser. be a rebel. the world doesnt revolve around money, money revolves around this world and if u r a hard worker and a true dreamer and a rebel too, then the world will conspire to send money to u.

'bade hokar bade admi bano' but remember every bada admi is not an engineer. there r ways beyond the popular courses and every course can give u watever u want if u have genuine feelings and interest in it. remember Hugh Hefner( i hope its spelled correctly) is a millionaire.

parting words : even after reading this, if u cannot decide wat is ur real calling, then plz contact a counsellor, dont feel ashamed or hesitate in contacting them coz their business thrives on people like u .

judge urself before taking ne step, analyse ur abilities. and yes, the most important thing : if ur parents, family, friends and society call u mad and crazy when u decide to make ur own way in life and follow ur dreams then tell urself : this world belongs to crazy like u, not retards like them. go ahead, achive ur dreams and yes : be crazy, always.
