In a condenser there are two parallel plates one +vely charged and the other without charge. Then due to the +ve charge of 1st plate the 2nd plate gains an equal -ve charge on the side towards the 1st plate and there are +ve free charges on the oother side of 2nd plate.

My question is that why the two plates do not gain equal potentials?

PLz it's urgent.I want to clear my concept

Consider a wheel tied to a string at its centre.the other end of the string is hung under a horizontal ceiling. Now, at rest the wheel is horizontal. If the wheel is made vertical and then it is given a spin the wheel rotates without falling to gravity.and when it stops it falls to gravity.

How it is that the wheel doesn't fall when rotated , for a certain period?

PLZ Its URGENT
