in my opinion class 12 study of PCM is not something alien 2 the jee prep.; they go hand in hand...

i wud say that u shud try studying the same topics in pcm as r in progress in ur school; so u can manage both this way but its easier said than done... bcoz the course in ur school myt rush a bit... then u gotta give ur jee prep. preference... n lemme tell u jee prep is essentially understanding the concepts which myt require some time;

as far as english n an optional subject go forget abt them; just pass in ur tests;dont give tym in mugging them; prepare for them when ur terminals n boards xams come near

iitk is fully wifi, saw it on its wesite; bombay at a few particular places; delhi i don think so but is in the process... no idea abt madras

hmm.. no doubt life at iitk is studies; dats y it has better brand value n research; this was another pt i had in mind;

i thought dat i have the my entire life 2 enjoy so no harm for being in iitk n working for 4 yrs for a better future;

u have rest of ur life 2 stay in bombay, delhi or go abroad...

u never do ur engg.. again; its once in a lifetime so better focus on the academics

i agree that cultural fests of iitb r the best

weigh everything else honestly yaar; i cud've taken bombay but i dint there's a reason; see i'll aswer ur stuff:

1. abroad IITK has more recog...so IIT B dosent hav?? or it is less recognized??? so IITK ppl will be prefrd??

i don say that bombay is not but kanpur has better repo; n see dude iit delhi professor saying this u gotta respect this

2.IITK gets donations so what r u gonna do with that??? IITB gets enough money frm govt... india

iitk also gets money frm the government; same as bombay; but kanpur has EXTRA funds; that helps in edging over bombay; funding is a critical pt. n no doubt kanpur scores over bombay

n see u r accepting the pt. that iitkanpur has by far more famous n successful alumni; THIS IS THE BIGGEST POINT; ppl frm here r more successful end of story

4. iitk has sooo many research project... u wont di that project s dude whateva IITK B TECH ppl do the same is done by IITB b tech also...u r talkin abt phd ppl at IITK

but dude it still speaks of the academic strength; even iitb must b having phd students, still kanpur edges forward there's gotta b a reason; it is that kanpur is plain better;
n lemme tell u iitk has a surge programme for research at undergrad. level; nothing of such sort at bombay

first coll to introduce sem system was BITS Pilani so will u join BITS P???

but still it was th frst among the iits 2 accept what is good; other iits followed;
iitk has flexibility; just go n check out the curriculums of the 2 intitutes n see which 1 allows more flexibility in there programmes

atleast u agree on this; n i don say that all the students can join the glider club but many can; its a golden opportunity if u wanna grab it

who said this? check out the average package given 2 delhi n kanpur; they r equal; waise i don have the xact data on bombay n even if dre's a difference it has 2 b miniscule n prob. kanpur getting the better; n lemme tell u these stats change every year; the pts i've told u r absolutely heavy n static; not gonna change

i've heard that in kota there's a trend set for preferring bombay; even i wud've gone for bombay had i not done so much of an intensive research;

its just new wind that has blown...i dunno y; i think its ignorance; ppl don get in2 much research b4 making dre choices; what dre teachers say they agree;

kanpur has been preferred traditionally, i refer 2 a long period

n guess what, piyush srivastave(hope u remember that braino) is in kanpur

i've done so much of research on dis.... coz i had 2 choose b/w delhi bombay n kanpur;

lemme tell u y i rate kanpur as the best:

1. abroad the real recognition is for iit kanpur only this was told 2 me by a iitd prof.

2. iitkanpur has the most glorious list of alumni; this is the biggest indication y it is the best

3. this also causes the best funding through donations of alumni

4. i checked the rankings given by india today in the last 10 yrs; adding up all the rankings kanpur leaves every one behind

5. iitkanpur n iitkgp have always been known for there research activities major research projects specially of the DORD or DRDO whatever it is (the defence organisation), railways n other government organisations go to iitkanpur

6. check out the number of international research projects iitk has had; check the bombay site then, no international research projects with iitb

7. it has always been the leader in academics; frst 2 introduce semester system, grading system, cs dept, n many other things; other iits have been following kanpur

8. it gives the maximum freedom 2 students in course changing; no restrictions on lan n internet as they r in bombay n madras(nt sure of madras)

9. infrastructure is the best which is a consequence of the better funding it has; it is the only iit with a glider club which means they'll actually teach u 2 fly a glider; i m not sure abt this bt i think its the frst 2 have wireless internet in the entire camous; in bombay its not at all places n in delhi n others i dunno whether it exists

10. it has the best food; not a big criteria but i had the food in its mess a few days back; it was great!! i've talked 2 delhi n bombay guys; they say the food is not gud dre

guys lemme tell u there r more points but i've written enough;
the one thing that goes against iitk is its location; if that wud b ne -ve for the recruiters iitk wud launch its noida xtension on its golden jubilee
