as for career option in this field... i dont give a damn. i want it.
i know a guy who was air 70 sumthing n he took aero in 1997. he now teaches in iit training.(i believe he got a job offer from NASA but declined)
so it seems that apart from HAL and ISRO and NASA there are no other job prospects..

please cud u tell me more about how the coaching was done in bansals and also how it was done in resonance?
PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER THESE Q'S:
you told me about the killer competition in bansal, is it much different in reso? is the level of teaching different? are the number of practice sums different?is the pattern of teaching diff?(i read that in bansal they give dpp. does the same happen in reso?) are the level of difficulty in sums same? basically what are those things(apart from competition) that i will miss out on in reso as compared to bansal?
i would be extremely grateful for answers to these queries (especially from you gotthru since you would have a good idea about this)

infinity?
tan alpha can be infinity(alpha can be as close to pie/2 as you please) and tan beta can be zero.(beta is zero)

hey guys i gave the b arch exam for kicks, but SOMEHOW i got air 16!!! and maharashtra rank 1!!!!
dont ask me how, i am not lying. i dint do so well in b tech exam nor jee so am mostly going to repeat a year.i am not soooo interested in architecture, but can anyone tell me the top institutes for b arch anyway?

hi all
PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY I AM IN DESPERATE NEED
gave jee this year (2007), got no rank(made that iist thing). my aieee rank was 10000 approx and state rank 570 from maharashtra. very poor show from me
(i made many many mistakes in aieee and lost 25+ marks in silly mistakes, i could have got around 4000 air in aieee) and i am determined to repeat a year. i have made up my mind to study at kota. this is NOT the problem i face.that was just an intro.
this is the problem
i want to know what the difference is between bansal and resonance.(MAINLY RESONANCE DETAILS)
no doubt the former is much better, since 1400 students got ranks in jee from bansal kota, and only 461 from the kota branch of resonance.
for certain reasons i MAY HAVE TO GOto resonance and not bansal, if that is to happen what am i facing? i know nobody who has gone through resonance, but some people who passed jee from bansals say that bansal has the most superior competitive pattern and resonance is not good enough.i want to know all the pros and cons of this.
please people who have done this help me!!!!
i am extremely scared of my parents who taunt me about having pretended to have studied all this while(NOT TRUE, but the marks dont show).sadly both the main exams i had to write went poorly :(
i cannot afford to make another mistake the shame is too great to bear, all my family relatives my age have ranks in jee within 2000, and i have nothing..
so i need to know exactly what to do, and for this i need these details.
chances are that i will be in RESONANCE, so i am mainly interested in what goes on there compared to bansal.
also the resonance site said that medium of instruction in mainly hindi.. i am quite poor at speaking hindi, and want to know whether this may pose a problem to me..if they mean by that that the prof will say" ab electron yahaan se wahaan jayegi kyuunki potential aisi ....." then its ok, but bigger words will be bad.
some advice here would also help...

this whole nickel thing is a great idea and a fun way to make sure that people dont go writing stupid stuff in posts and forums, because the number of posts they write are limited.
also it makes sure that people dont offend each other and abuse one another.. if u r nice and helpful u get rated. its such a brilliant way to make things work.. whoever thought of it is either very smart or just lucky!! i go with the first option!!

aru check out career points rank prediction.. my rank in maharashtra was between 1 and 50!! totally inacurate. yours would be in the firsrt 10 then!

go to bits360.com.(forum by bitsians). ask same query. dont rate me for this, rate coolyog. he suggested it first.
and btw i got similar marks in aieee.
bits 316 semms quite ok, i know a guy who got into pilani on second list into pharma(which is in demand) with 280.
jee cutoffs are around 170(career point). so ull get a rank but not a good one.
also can you please tell me the kind of questions that came in bitsat???

sorry to break flow here.. but this is also a "bits query". firstly, i am very interested in hearing how bitsat is tougher than aieee. also i want to know if doing MTG ka bitsat explorer is any good. (i dont hv the cd, just the book.) the level seems a bit high.. all those who wrote bitsat also plsss tell us whther it is necessary to go thru ncert books very properly.. my exam is on 28th.. please reply to this. thanks shreyas
