hey you can join any of the three to be more specific Trichy and chem.

Chem is quite better than Instrumentation.

Do not go for B grade colleges.

And I would also not advise you to join BIT mesra.

Better to be in these NIT.

You can also check for NIT A coz its also quite famous and environment there would be quite suitable!!

1.You will def get E & I in Pilani. No worries for that may be not in 2nd but yes in 4 iteration.

2.Elec and Ins is quite similar to EEE except of a few 5-6 courses which are diff.

Scope is quite good and if you pass out from Pilani with E & I thats just incredible(coz BITS famous for comp and elec.)

and yes that clears your next doubt.

def. mech is a core branch but from BITS it doesnt sounds that good.

3. Should go CS if you have too much interest in maths and comp rest it would be better to opt for Pilani coz goa is a new institute and its first batch hasnt yet graduated.!!

yes definitely take CS

Why waste one year in goa taking MSc. later on you can utilize that year for MBA and it would all be at par.

Looking at the rankings and all I would advise you to fill in this order

IIIT CS>>NIT S CS>NIT T CS>IIIT H ECE>>NIT S ECE>NIT T ECE> NIT W CS>NIT W ECE>IIIT A ECE.

I have done a bit of research on this.

As the same dilema is going on with me.

I have talked to many seniors in BITS

They have said its possible to study in BITS but the environment, frens etc make it a bit tough.

I would advice you to join IIT and study there and have a branch change coz the IIT tag does matters but yes just dont go for this Branch change.

Considering Biotech i had talked to professors there and they say it has got more application of chemistry and less from Bio side.

So it is a safe branch to go with.

But if you dont want it the best option would be BITS EEE but do not compromise IIT for BITS mech.

I would suggest the same.

Join IIT.

Its a very interesting branch you have got with applications in both CS and Banking.

And yes packages will be good, bit less than CS.

But considering this fields applications and all you should prefer it over CS NSIT.

I dont know much yaar but acc to me you should go to NSIT as you are getting maths and scien comp.if you were getting maths and comp I would have advised to go to IIT as its applications are in the field of CS while thats not with Scien comp.

Do not leave IIT unless you have got very much interest in CS

And if you have I would advise to go to best institute you get for it

i.e. Pilani.

Hyderabad is good but cant be compared with Pilani.

And yes i would also advise the same if you dont wanna take drop and you are happy with chem(polymer)

There is upgradation in Hyderabad

You can go in CS if you perform well in ECE and vice versa

But at your rank you should be 101% confident to get IIIT Hyd CS.

Anyways choice list could be

IIT H all four according to your preference

NIT S T W CS

NIT A CS

IIIT A ECE

that should be all no need to fill other choices.

But yes do this only if you have that strong determination to join iit.

I have got this thing to join IIT since beginning so I am taking drop.

But yes if you are a bit reluctant go for BITS

Atleast it wont let you repent.

Hi I m on the same boat

I got a rank of 3265 in JEE and 334 marks in BITS.

I have also decided to give JEE next year

But I am joining local NIT.

The reason is that you are not able to co op with BITS.

I have talked to the senior

Many of them said they had joined BITS with this sole motive but as the days pass you start enjoying the campus, make frens there and soon JEE thing is forgotten.

So I would advise you to join local NIT so that you can join any coaching there if needed or join test series and give JEE next year in quite strong position.

Hey I think Cut off for EEE went 364 in first iteration.

And for E & I abt 357 and may be for mech Pilani abt 352.

I too am from MP but didnt gave PET but yes the results should come within a week as per the info got from my frens.

he got E & I in Goa.

Do you think this time also the first list will come down by 20-30 marks in the end??

Can we study in BITS to give JEE next year??

I mean is there too much study environment that we wont be able to co-op

Yes Dont leave BITS at your score there are 99% chances you will get E & I.

Do not leave BITS.

Thats not true

I have suffered coz of those two questions

I knew the answers to be both hyperbola and ellipse

I marked ellipse and also attempted the question which didnt had right answer and now I m here with abt 7 marks less then estimated with a rank of abt 600 down and my frens who didnt attempted them got 6 marks more then what their max score could have been.

And these arises the question

Isnt it inappropriate for EEE people to put such questions when comp is so tuff and even one single mark matters??

I know I may sound sarcastic but if I had got those 7 marks I am sure I would have gotten IIIT!!
