DO join BITS keeping in mind that you will need some branch change. But
I would suggest that u take CS. Even if the institute from which ur doing it is not so good u will get a better starter package(from any IT industry)
UR progress in that industry depends on ur performance there and not on ur institute tag.SO by working hard there u can get very high packages. BUT fields like MSC BIO will cut off ur scope.( even dual degree means major in MSC and minor in BE) .Companies like INFOSYS even go to the most remote colleges and pick engineers from there.

PICT, DHANKAVDI has very good placements when compared with D.Y. patil many of their CSE students have gone abroad. PICT is also the best college from MAHARASHTRA for CSE/ IT. It also has good facilites and the right atmosphere. D.Y. patil cannot match it in any of the above aspects. You can get more info on www.dte.org.in. But i guess that it is very tough for u to make it to PICT.

the disciplines which ur getting in iitr are very specialized and will cut down ur scopes. so they are not so helpful if ur doing iim. the mba course offered has no real meaning. i have enquired this with a iitb professor.

My name is Kshitij and I have secured an AIR of 3908 in IIT-JEE and a bitsat score of 281. My state rank is 888 in aieee. So what should my order of preference be in selecting the institute and engineering field assuming that the cutoffs this year will be the same as last year. Please also provide some information regarding BITS,goa.
