Qualification Criteria in Naval College Of Engineering Admission Test: Candidates seking admission in Naval College of Engineering through NCE entrance test, must go through pre-requisite criteria or eligibility guidelines to be successful in Naval College admission test .
1.) Entry and eligibility for Naval College of Engineering is below 19 years. 2.) The Candidate should have completed 10+2 with PCM, and English either in class X and XII. 3.) The Candidate should be an Unmarried Male. 4.) The Candidate should undergo Interviews and Medical Exams conducted by Services Selection Board (SSB). 5.) Karunya University Counseling Schedule: The eligible candidates and their parents should assemble in Emmanuel Auditorium, Karunya University, Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore – 641114 .
The candidates have to report the venue for counselling with the following documents...
1.) Self attested downloaded KUEEE 2012 marksheet
2.) Filled in Karunya application form (Qualifying examination and register number should be clearly written)
3.) Self attested copy of 10th marksheet.
4.) A self attested copy of 12th standard marksheet (if results are announced and if available)
5.) Personal identification: School ID card/Driving license/any other proof for personal identification.
6.) Proof of Christian Minority Candidates (if Christian): Community Certificate/Transfer certificate showing clearly the candidate is a Christian (or) Christian minority certificate obtained from the Head of school/Institution where the candidate last studied.
7.) Proof for school last studied: Copy of Transfer Certificate (if available)/copy of progress report/report card/school tests marksheet issued during the study of 12th standard in the school/+2 school identity card (ID).
8.) Young Partner Certificate (If any).
9.) If the candidate is selected for provisional admission, he/she has to pay the full fee immediately or a minimum of Rs. 50, 000/- (DD also accepted in favor of “The Registrar, Karunya University, Coimbatore”). Payment through credit card/debit card is also accepted. The remaining fees should be paid.
Note: Admission counselling will be based on KUEEE 2012 rank as well availability of seats. When the rank is called/announced the concerned candidate must be present at the time. Under any circumstances, latecomers will not be permitted.

Combined Admission Test (CENTAC) Counseling: Venue of CENTAC Counseling:
Counseling for all the offered degree courses will be conducted at the Office of the CENTAC, Chemical Engineering Block, Pondicherry Engineering College (PE C ), Pillaichavady, Puducherry - 605 014 .
Counseling Date Schedule:
Candidates will be called for counseling as per their order of merit in each course. Candidates to be called for counseling will be intimated through call letters or a public notification in local newspapers and in the official web site of CENTAC. No change of date / time of counseling are permissible. CENTAC will not be responsible for postal delay, if any and non-delivery of counseling/intimation letters whatever may be the reason (s) thereto.
Counselling Fee:
A non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.600/-(Rs.200/- for SC/ST candidates) will be collected from each candidate 'getting admission for the first time', to any of the Degree courses coming under CENTAC.During every subsequent/supplementary counselling, the candidate will be required to pay an 'additional counselling fee' of Rs.400/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates) if, he/she 'takes admission in any other college/degree course/branch of study'.
The counselling fee should be in the form of 'Demand Draft' drawn in favour of “The Convenor, CENTAC”, payable at Puducherry. Payment by cheques, postal orders, money orders and Cash will not be accepted. No candidate will be allowed to attend the counseling without the prescribed counselling fee.
Important Particulars/Documents Pertaining to Counseling:
Candidates, who do not attend the counseling on the specified date and time, have to forego their claim for admission. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and unavoidable reasons, if a candidate is unable to attend the counseling on the specified date and time, he / she can attend on a subsequent date and time during the counseling period for the course, with prior permission of “The Convenor, CENTAC”. But, the candidate can only opt for the seat available at that time and cannot claim any seat as per his / her original rank for the course. In any case, counseling will not be done in the absence of candidates.
If the improvement marks are submitted by the candidate after the commencement of counseling, the actual seats available at the time of counseling will be made available to such candidates. However due weightage will be given to the improvement marks.
Unfilled seats & vacancies, arising out of the dropouts of already admitted candidates or due to the introduction of new courses or inclusion of new institutions, will be filled - up during the subsequent counseling’s. Details of such vacancies will be notified in newspapers and will also be made available in the official web site of CENTAC and such information will also be updated periodically.
Individual intimation will not be sent to candidates for Counselling of seats arising due to vacancies for the reasons mentioned above.
These vacancies “shall be open” to all candidates applied for admission through CENTAC, including the candidates already admitted during earlier counselling. In the Final Counselling the unfilled seats of different /reserved categories are filled under general category region wise and at the end all the vacant seats are filled under the General Category of UT of Puducherry.
Important Note: Candidates admitted into any college/course during their subsequent counselling, shall join that college/course on or before the last date prescribed by the respective colleges. Failure to do so will make them liable to forfeit both the newly allotted seats and the seats in which they had been admitted during the earlier counseling. CENTAC will not be responsible or liable for such lapses, on the part of candidates.
No communication shall be sent to candidates who are not eligible to be called for counselling and no further correspondence in this regard will also be entertained. Due to unforeseen and unavoidable reasons if a candidate is unable to attend the counselling on the specified date and time, he/she can authorize his/her parent/guardian on his/her behalf with suitable evidence and the parent’s/Guardian’s decision will be binding on the candidate.
Eligible candidates who have applied may appear for counselling according to their cut-off mark, two hours before the counselling session along with their original certificates for verification irrespective of receipt of individual communication.

Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) Exam Pattern: 1.) The question paper of CENTAC consists of three papers of two hours duration each. All questions will be of objective type only.
Paper-I: Mathematics:60 Questions Paper-II: Physical Sciences:80 Questions(Physics 40 + Chemistry 40), Paper-III: Biology : 100 Questions (Botany 50 + Zoology 50). 2.) All the three papers conducted are of two hours duration and consists of objective type of questions. 3.) Candidates willing to take admission to CENTAC B.Tech course will have to appear for examination on Paper I and Paper II. 4.) For other courses students will have to appear for tests in Paper II and Paper III. 5.) Candidates seeking admission to the B.Pharm courses will have to sit for Paper II, which is compulsory.

Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech. degree course through Centralised admission committee (CENTAC) must follow below described criteria..
1.) Must have passed the H.Sc. (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination
2.) Must passed a minimum of 50% marks (45%marksforOBC/ BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/ SC/ST candidates) (subject to approval of Pondicherry University) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects, namely - Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology.
3.) Candidates belonging to UT of Puducherry, and who have passed H.Sc. (Vocational Stream in the area of Engineering & Technology) examination, conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination thereto with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates) (subject to approval of Pondicherry University) in aggregate, in the prescribed subjects, namely: Vocational subjects (Theory and Practical) & a related subject (Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry), are also eligible for admission to the B.Tech degree course.
4.) A Candidate seeking admission through CENTAC should be an Indian National. However, French Nationals residing in the Puducherry UT and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with Indian Nationals for the purpose of admission to the various courses.
5.) Improvement marks secured in the first improvement attempt will be considered.
6.) The maximum age limit to pursue B. Tech from CENTAC is 21 years. No. of Attempts Allowed: Category No. of Attempt Allowed SC/ST 3 Others 2 7.) Admission in CENTAC B.Tech entrance is based on the marks secured by the candidates in the prescribed subjects of the qualifying examination [i.e. for H.Sc. Academic: Mathematics, Physics and any one of the optional subjects (Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology / Botany & Zoology) & for H.Sc. Vocational: Vocational Subject Theory, Vocational Subject Practical and a related Subject] and 'normalizing' them by the prescribed procedure. Equal weightage will be given to all the three prescribed subjects. Incase a candidate has appeared in more than any one of the above prescribed optional subjects, the subject in which the candidate has obtained the highest marks will be taken into consideration for ‘Normalization” and for calculating the actual total marks in the prescribed subjects. Wherever separate marks for practical’s are awarded, the same will be considered along with the respective subjects, for arriving at the total actual marks and hence the 'normalized marks'. B.Tech entrance criteria in CENTAC for Other States/UTs Candidates:
Candidates applying against other States / UTs' quota of seats, admission to B.Tech engineering branches or courses will be based only on the actual merit marks secured by them in “AIEEE” -2011 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination), and a separate merit list prepared for them. For such Candidates, the 'normalization procedure' is not applicable. However, if a Candidate has secured 'cumulative negative marks' in “AIEEE-2011”, then such a candidate is 'not eligible' for admission to B.Tech Degree courses coming under the purview of CENTAC.
