as far as i am concerned u should opt for cs at icfai.because for u r ranks u will not get into nits nor wbjee.mind u icfai is ranked at 78 position in top 100 colleges published by indiaeducation.net.otherwise drop an year and perform well in 2008.[this is strictly my personal suggestion , i dont want u to take it seriously.]

see now it depends on u r interest of subject. if u wish to take it or cse then i would suggest to go for sastra otherwise go for manipal.my suggestion is based on the information of colleges [engineering] rankings for the year 2006.[check the website indiaeducation.info/engineering/top_colleges/top100.asp] where u can decide the better college based on their placements,faculty,infrastructural facilities etc.

I GOT A RANK OF 2786 IN THE JEE .I WOULD TO TAKE UP METTALURGICAL ENGG., WHICH I WOULD GET AT IIT-R[B-TECH], IIT-M[DUAL DEGREE].WHICH ONE SHOULD I OPT?PLEASE GIVE A SUGGESTION BASED ON THE PLACEMENTS OF THE TWO IIT'S. MOREOVER IS IIT-BTECH MORE VALUANLE THAN IIT-DUAL DEGREE. PLEASE HELP

ya! its true that it-bhu is one of the top ranked institutions in the country,but as far as i am conerned it is better to opt for courses like production engg.,mettelurgical,naval architeture etc .[this is strictly my personal opinion ,after all it is u who is going to make a decision].

I have secured a total of 326 in bitsat this year.i am a bit confused regarding the submission of preference order of the courses in bits.i know that for my score i will not get cse in bits,but is there any problem if i opt for cse in pilani ie is there any risk of being rejected by them in opting for courses which i may not get according to last year's cut offs? please help me . all suggestions will be rated!

i have secured a rank of 2786 in the iit-jee,7433 in the aieee[ a state rank of 1344 in andhra pradesh],and a total of 326 in bitsat .i am in a confused situation!i am unable to decide whether to join iit with any branch given or to opt for bits. i think i would get mehanical or electrical in bits -goa &chemical or mechanical[at the very best] in bits pilani.please advice where to join ib bits pilani or bits goa or iit

u will get mineral,mining,machinery engg.in ism.u may also get b arch. in iit roorkee.

firstly , congrats for getting qualified.for a rank of 4200 ,it is difficult to get into seven iit's ,but u might get some decent courses in the it-bhu& ism. umight get ceramic engg.in it-bhu,mech in ism ,;mineral ,mining,machinery engg.in ism.

hey! it seems that u r interested in only civil eng.what i see is that for u r rank u might also get chemical,metallurgical ceramic courses at it-bhu &computerscience ,electronics,mechanical engineering courses under the b-tech stream. as far as i know ,it-bhu is placed ahead of nit-warangal.i think it's better to join some good nit ,provided u get some decent course there otherewise it's a good choice to get into the it-bhu.

hey sri008,i think u have a good chance of making it to the it-dhanbad or it-bhu.but i dont think u will be offered some good course there.but it would be better to join somr nit or iit or even bits if u get some good score or rank there. i whole -heartedly wish u good luck.

deepika your brother might get some decent course in the it-dhanbad or it-bhu.my personal suggestion would be to join some good nit or iiit's provided he gets a good rank in the aieee.further i dont think there are colleges which take students based on their iit-jee ranks.

ya its true .for a rank of 2148 one will get civil engineering in all the iit's .[speaking frankly chances of getting iit-b are slightly less.]

hey saswat777,sorry to say this but for a rank of 3381 , your chances of getting a decent branch in iit's are less.i think u might get a good subject in the it-dhanbad&it-bhu.but as far as i am concerned it's better to join some nit rather than it-dhanbad or it-bhu.[but this is provided u get some decent rank in aieee]

hey igot a rank of 2786.and for your rank , u mihgt get-aerospace,chemical,biotechnology,industrial,instrumentation,mechanical,metallurgicalengineering in the reputed iit's.and by the way a dual degree course is a 5-year course which offers u both b-tech $m-tech degrees.
