it's not mandatory as one of my friends who is in iit-kharagpur didn't send mark sheet attested .so,he was asked at time of counselling to give that but my advice is that you must talk to your zonal iit and if possible you must send it.

it depends on the age of candidate,not the class.candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained age of 21years on 1st january 2012,i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd jan 1991and not later than 1st january 1995.
