I suggest u pay the admission fees for both bits and nit so that u remain in the running . See what u get till th 3-4 th iteration. Coz droppers mostly dont get that good marks in all exams so u mite regret leavin admission wid dese scores nxt yr!

As for placements, the packages (highest and minimum ) are same for bits pilani and iit bombay. Also since u said u are nt the brightest guy around, jee 2010 is a gamble. Also unless u get a good rank in the jee like 1000+, u will hv 2 tak any campus and any branch u get just fr the iit tag. So join the best college which is giving u the course u want dis yr. I suggest u pay the admission fees to both nit t and also bits. Coz first iter is nt close 2 actual allotment coz iit guys blockin the seats.

I think the best course of action rite nw is to take the best coll u can get without dependin on next yrs results coz as u said , something mite go wrong and u wont get even the results u gt nw. As fr jee 2010 being ur aim, dont dismiss colleges jus coz u wont get a chance 2 study fr jee der. Anythin can happen to ur jee. Take my case-> fracturd my right hand 10 days before jee and landed up wid a shit rank of 4468. Still thankfully i aced my bitsat (sigh).

@ naman - HE has four years to go before his placements come and by that time bits pilani goa campus might hv improvd in this regard

EEE @ NIT-T is a very good option . Also whats ur preference list fr bits? MOstly u ll get any dual degree in pilani with this score and some BE at goa and hyderabad campuses but will need ur pref order to say accurately

ya . this had hapened to me 2 a while ago . Are u using firefox, if so try internet explorer or sum other browser. It will go back to normal in a few days (mostly 2). Rate me!
