Ok i did not start my IIt preparation till now........ Its just that i was doin my 11th n 12th portions(State board) . Suppose i start my proper IItJEE prep from today. Preparation in sense study from prescribed books for jee . Do u guys think i can still make it to the IIT's or may be even BITS or NITs ?

So
PA = PB      =>  PA2 = PB 2
 
Use the distance formula d = sqrt[ (x1 - x2)2 + (y1 - y2)2]
 
Find PA PB equate
we get an equation
 
then do simultaneous equating of the euation we got and 4x+5y=4 .

Let P be (x,y) movin such that PAB is always 9
 
 Area of a triangle = 1/2 |x1(y2-y3)+x2(y3-y1)+x3(y1-y2)|
                       9 = 1/2 | 5(-2-y) + 3(y-3) + x(3- - 2)
                       18= |-10 -5y +3y -9+5x|
                        37 =5x - 2y or 1=  5x - 2y

If i put 4-5 hrs of quality hard work ... is it still possible for me to crack IIT this very year ?
 
I was into the usual state board sylabbus.... did not prepare particularly for IIT as such till now .... Got these 14 module books from brilliant tutorials a few days back .... if i am able to put in 4-5 hrs of hard work everyday ....... how much is the possiblility of me crackin IIT-JEE... Is it a good idea to drop 1 year and take chances........ ???

can you do it without the formula   ? cos this prob is given before the formula is given
