Perfect answer borgoforte. It can not come down as net force acting on it is zero (which means no acceleration) and it has zero velocity.

Good answer chandra. Uncertainity in position of electron means that we can never make a statement like "an electron moves in a circle of radius 0.53 angestrom around nucleus with a speed of 2.18 *10^7 m/s". Such discription of motion giving exact position and velocity is not possible for electron

Water is transparant because molecules of water cannot absorb photons in visible range

Your question is not very clear, but for perfectly smooth surface (atom to atom contact) friction indeed is zero. But in real cases it is very difficult to achieve such smoothness and when we say smooth surface we mean smooth on microscopic level but not on atomic level

Two compounds that have the same configuration at all of their stereocenters are homomers. They are superimposable molecules but they may differ in their conformation

rvidya they may be approximately equal but they are not equal. In general refractive index of a medium changes with change in state.

work done =force*displacement
=m*(density of mass-density of water)*g*h/density of mass
=6*1*4*10/2=120J

Let the angle between of ropes =2*theta
Then tan(theta)=d/(2*h)
Writing force balance on man
2Fcos(theta)=mg
F=mg*sqrt(d^2+(2h)^2)/(4h)

radius of spot=focal length*(lamda/radius of lens)
= 0.2*6.2*10^-7/0.04=3.1*10^-6 = 3.1 micron

Mrityunjay in case two particles at infinite seperation come closer to each other under its mutual attraction then total energy of the system will remain zero at all the time (so you are right in this aspect.) For earth sun system the total energy is negative. But you can't ask why it is not equal to zero because sun and earth never started from infinite seperation.

Tarin Shetty is perfectly correct. If angle is more than critical there is only reflection. If angle of incidence is less than critical angle then there is both reflection as well as refraction. Haven't you seen your image in a transparent glass.
