thanks @krishnagopal . your method was quite innovative u used the sin series. thanks :)

well priyesh got wht i was talkin about though. gud job priyesh .. i had done the question halfway but wasnt able to proceed.. theres one more with tan in it and u get e square as the answer tht as easy.

for first one, consider a ball thrown up . acc is always downwards whereas velocity is first upwards then downwards

for second one, consider projectile motion , g is downards all the time but direction of change of v keeps keep changing.

see figure... now put values. k = 9 X 10^9 , q = 20 X 10^ -6 , cos 30 = root 3  /   2

and u get F net on A = 3.6 * root3 N

ans c ) 3.6 * root 3 ..... many answers in hc verma are often wrong.

yes sparrow hawk is correct . as theres no motion in y axis we can equate Ncos theta = mg , block doesnt slip as these 2 cancel each other out

thus N = mg / cos theta

force on vertex A wont be 0 it will be 2k q square / r square         X         cos 30
Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Differential Calculus -> range of the function? -> Go to message

Let theta = x

as mod is there
func will behave in same way as if x was in first quadrant.

we get sin x + cosx
= root 2 . sin ( pi/4   + x )

diff. and equate to 0 find x for which value is max... we get root 2 as max

and for minimum value .. root2. sin ( pi/4 + x)  and , so,  sin( pi/4 + x) should be minimum...with x E [0 , pi/2]
draw graph of sin ( pi / 4 + x) by shifting graph of sinx to left by pi/4 units... and in interval of x E [0, pi/2]  we see that minimum value is when x = 0
which gives minimum value as 1...

range is from 1 to root 2
f(x) E [1, root2]

NOW
when greatest integer function is applied..
we get range as

resultant force on what??  where is the charged particle a situated?
Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Differential Calculus -> get the fundamental period... -> Go to message
This Post 0 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 0 votes )   [?]
fundamental period is that which when added to x in f(x) will give f(x) again

example.. sin (x + 2pi) = sin(x) so fundamental period is 2 pi

here in 1) f(x) = f(-x+9)
to get -x + 9 we add 9 - 2x to x
f( x + (9-2x) ) = f ( -x + 9 ) which is equal to f(x) as given ..

thus fundamental period is 9 - 2x here

in 2) f(x) = f(2x + 11)
like in above case here we add (x + 11) to x to get (2x + 11)
thus fundamental period is (x + 11)

PS. plz rate

Shayad mere pyar ko

Dil sey aisa CUT kiya
