if the roots of the =qn x^2+x+1=0 are p & q then find the =qn whose roots are p^6 and q^9.

first of all those ways will be found where the three not going for the party were included in the required 10 people thus choices clearly r 22C10 AS AMONG 25 3 HAVE OPTED OUT THUS V R LEFT WITH 22.

THEN WE TAKE THE SITUATION WHERE THE 3 WHO HAVE OPTED OUT R NOT INCLUDED IN THE SELECTED 10 THUS OUT OF TOTAL 25 THE TOTAL LEFT R 22 BUT THE NO OF PEOPLE TO BE SELECTED R STILL 10 AS THESE 10 DO NOT INCLUDE THE 3 WHO HAVE OPTED OUT.

I HOPE THIS SATISFIES U.

RATE ME IF U R

2+2+2+......upto 20 terms forms a gp but we cannot use the formula for sum to n terms of a gp, as 1-r =0

for max each line intersects a circle in two pts.

hence ans =8*4=32

let the pt whose locus is to be found be (h,k). apply then given conditions in such a way that any =qn that is derived from them contains variables h&k only. u finally get the =n

first find the total combinations i.e 30C4.THEN SUBTRACT THE NO OF WAYS TO GET FOUR CONSECTIVE NO'S IN THE SELECTION WHICH IS = 30C1 BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE 4 CONSECTIVE NO'S. THUS

30C4-30C1=ANSWER

this prob can take a lot of time try this

in ur quest put n=3. stop when u reach 3c3. get the ans and tally it with the given four options.eg if u get the above prob=9 the correct option should come to be=9 when u put n=3 in it. this is the most effective for bionomial coefficients to save time in entrance tests. hope u r satisfied
