A boy throws a tennis ball with a velocity of 20 m/s at an angle with the horizontal. The wind imparts a force of 0.8N horizontally such that the ball returns to the starting point. For this to happen, tan should be equal to ______ .

For an equilateral triangle, z1^2 + z2^2 + z3^2 = z1z2 + z2z3 + z3z1
Use this relation to find the unknown.

I didnt quite get the solution for q 4. Even i got that inequality, but how do u proceed after that?

yr state rank is good. U just might get an nit.

See... Now if you have an air of around 50000, and called for central counselling, and if another person has an air of 60000, and he is called for state counselling, then the person who has 60k air shud get some seat in a nit of his state, as he has been called for state counselling. that means that the person with 50k air has much better chances as his air is also much better. and mind u, almost all the state specific students get placed in nit.

I don't suggest you to take mech in nit srinagar. Are you eligible for central counselling?

We can even do this for the interval (a, c) right?

I didnt quite follow your solution. can u elaborate?

If d is a perfect square, then it is not necessary that the roots themselves will be integral. It cud even end up as a fraction, don't you think?
for example, if d is a perfect square, like 25, then its sqrt will be 5. But then it is not necessary that -b +/- sqrt d / (2a) needs to be integral...
|
|
|
|
for question one, I got the value of a = -2.
Roots are 3, 0.
Discriminant of the equation = a^2 + 2a + 9.
roots will be -b +/- sqrt (d) / 2a.
I know my solution looks ugly, but first tell me if my answer is right.
