exactly ! lol
max acceleration of the block can be g and as lift is falling with acceleration greater than g so it is a case of free fall..
now just use g as the acceleration in the eqn of s = 1/2 at^2

Haan bhai it's 6/5!
see y = Kt^2 can be compared to s = 1/2 at^2
so K = a/2
1 = a/2
a = 2
( or another way, u could differentiate the given equation twice)

now T1 = 2 pi sqrt(l/g)
and T2 would be = 2 pi sqrt(l/ g+2) .. since acceleration of 2 m/s^2 is also present now

so when u divide the two ( after squaring)
u get g + 2 / g
so if u take g as 10
the ratio = 12 / 10 or 6/5

No unbalanced external force is acting upon it.
If distance is proportional to time
means Distance = speed x time

( if it was distance proportional to square of time, then it would have been s = at^2 / 2)

Hence speed is constant.and no unbalanced external force is acting upon the body

a and c are correct.
balmer series is when electron jumps from higher to 2nd orbit
but in our course we are told about only upto 5th orbit whereas there can actually be more thus some spectral lines in balmer series can be excluded from the visible spectrum.

all mass is matter
and mass is an inherent property of a body which relates the acceleration produced in it by a force acting upon it.

Exactly!
Let the width of the window = a
and length of window = b
Thus
3a + 2b = 12

and Area = ab + sqrt(3).a^2/4
differentiate and equate to 0 to find critical point
we get a = 12 / [6 - sqrt(3)]
so area is maximum at this value of a.

therefore b can be found from
3a + 2b = 12
b = 18 - 6.sqrt(3) / [ 6 - sqrt(3)]

*in the solution given by you parthav, the length of the window is incorrect*

if its a matrix then the question is wrong. if it was determinants then the answer would be -1 and 1 as a^2 = 1

WHAT?>! ~~~
THE whip sound we hear when he swish a thin stick in air is due to the fact that the tip of the long thin stick reaches a speed greater than that of sound momentarily and as we know when the sound barrier is broken an explosive sound is heard. That is the reason for the sound.

initially when Block B is released there is no force causing it to come towards the pulley's axis but as it is falling down the block A is dragged towards the axis of the pulley and hence BLOCK A reaches the pulley's axis before B does

1) the galvanometer has low resistance so max current is drawn through it and least current goes through the conductor to which the galvanometer has been attached in parallel..and as the current in the conductor is reduced hence potential difference is also decreased as V = IR and V and I are proportional

2) Voltmeter has large resistance so current through it will be less as R and I are inversely proportional. so current will be max in the conductor to which the Voltmeter is attached in parallel. and since current is max hence potential difference will also be max and wont decrease.

As we know voltmeter has high resistance and Galvanometer has low resistance so we place an appropriate resistance in series with the galvanometer and this setup can then be used as a voltmeter. also the ratio of the resistance of the added resistor and the resistance of the galvanometer should be such that voltage through galvanometer doesn't exceed its capacity.
