hi friends... if u wer wondering wat the real strtegy for clearing iit then ur reading the article of a lifetime....go on read it and more than that...follow it....

:oSo now you are ready to face the music...U hv just got over class 10th exam and thought of resting .But folks just give an ear to my article....The best time to start preparation is at the beginning of 11th class. But its already late for me...i m in class 12 now..but you do not make the same mistake goiitians...But as they say its not too late its never too late..Students are fresh after the break after boards and a lot more can be learnt. Students who start late often end up leaving some key topics of 11th class JEE syllabus. Also, if you start your preparation in 12th class then the amount of hard work is increased manifold due to additional pressure of 12th boards, so chances of getting a high rank in JEE are decreased. There is a big transition from the mugging up study of 10th class to more understanding based study of 11th class. So you shouldn't get bogged down by seeing the level of complexity in JEE exam.

The first two or three months should be spent in revising your basic concepts (topics like algebra, mecanics) which had been taught in 9th class. Concepts in topics like algebra, mechanics and stoichiometry should be studied in great detail as they also form the basis for other topics and are very scoring. There should be no doubt in your mind about these concepts. For these, develop the habit of inquisition. Clear all your doubts so that mentally you feel confident tackling any concept. A key in this area is problem-solving. Regular problem solving not only strengthens the concepts, but also increases your mental sharpness which is must for JEE.Initially problems of low level should be tried and only when you have mastered them, you should go on to solving intricate JEE type problems. You should have systematic plan for the preparation of JEE. Regular hours should be allotted to mastering concepts and problem-solving. It is not necessary to memorise the lessons and formulae. Understand the derivations of formulae and apply the formulae to solving problems. Slowly these formulae will settle down in your brain and you will be able to recall them under any situation. What is required is a clear understanding and an easy familiarity with the concepts and laws. Maximum attention should be paid to solving problems.Try to be analytical rather than being intutive. Remember that hardwork pays! You should first take up a problem and try to solve it yourself. You should understand what is given and what is required, recall what principles, laws, equations are involved. Don't hurry to see the solution as I doesn't help you to learn. Only when you've pondered over it over a long time and unable to see any light, should you see the solutions. You would be insulting yourself and seriously hurting your chances of success if you skip these problems or make half-hearted attempts in solving them. An other very important aspect of your JEE preparation will be the coaching institute, whose importance and selection procedure will be delved into in the next section.

idonotgetanygoodid:

:)  IIT is always a word which rises a energy through the body. But to achieve it you have to drain out the entire energy out of your body. Preparing for IIT is not a week or month job. It needs years of effort. From 11th onwards the whole ’energy’ has to be squeezed out.

A proper oranization is always the primary task for all preparation.

1. Make yourself a week plan and a month plan before you work.

Never put down all your awake time in studies. Effiecency is the primary target. Divide the day into 4 - 6 sections of 2-3 hours. For every successful period take a 15-30 minutes reward. It boosts your energy.

2. Regular exercise is always a must. allocate about 30 minutes of the day for this.

You can choose ’exercise time’ during the time you feel sleepy or fed-up.

3. Do a subject continously for a long period. Each time you change the subject you lose a lot of time. (transition time is a lot on thinking) .

4. Crash your leisure programmes when you don’t go on plan then make a better plan for next week

5. Write in black n white the portions covered and try to match it with the plan.

6. A sleep of 5.5 hr is a must!!!!

7.During the ’Hike’ of tension cool youself by meditating or by jst running arround!!

Studying Methods

1. Regularly solve model papers and keep checking the time. This enhance confidence and shows the pons and cons of ur studies.

2. Be up to date. All HW must be done in time.

3. make yourself comprehensive notes and small skecthes. (make them attractive)

4. Be perfect in solving maths problems. Never make a situation that will make u revise back through it. The best way I adopted was from my teacher. ’’Enjoy Maths!!’’ and do it when you are totally freacked out. On doing problems during ’freaking’ time you intially tend to make mistakes. But this soon will be a boon when you get freaked out during exams. You will be ready to move through even when u r freaked. ( this was my success key for 100 in maths exams.)

5. Be prepared with all type of questions.

6. Go through guides daily. In the last moment u won’t be able to do it.

Last Sec Tips

1. Never start studying during the last month.

2. keep covering pages at a fast pace

3. Question yourself where you feel you are doubtful.

4. Never leave calculations. Keep doing always. Once you stop your marks stops!!

5. Have confidence

Always be cool and smooth. Never let tenion eat you u up. Aske the parents to keep an eye on yu always. Otherwise you may not be studying always.

Be motivated, encouraged and struggle.

First thing is, stick to the basics. Know your definitions well. Most of us skip the basics, because we think they are too easy and will never come in JEE.

This is a mistake. The thing to do is, remember the ’derivation’ of every formula in physics, maths and physical chemistry. All these formulae are based on assumptions. IIT will twist these assumptions and ask the problem. So, u will have to derive the new formula, using the same algorithm.

Even in organic chemistry, be thorough with hydrocarbons and general organic chemistry. Most people mug some advanced hi-fi reagents and mechanisms, which dont come. For last few years there are always questions on ’conformers’ of alkanes, sn1 sn2 e1 e2 mechanisms and hydrocarbons.

For screening, practise mcq questions and be a little street smart. I mean you donot have to properly ’solve’ a problem. Most of the times, by looking at the options you can eliminate 2 options. Then you have a 50% chance of solving a problem. Also, attempt many questions. Dont be overcautious in screening because of negative marking. Remember its +3 and -1. You cant say that I will attempt 40 questions of which I am sure of and score 120. That is rare. Even if u think ur right, in IIT you are mostly wrong. 6 mistakes like this and u go below 100, i.e. below the confort zone of passing screening.

In mains just write everything you know. You dont need to get perfectly every answer, if ur approach is right, u get marks and if you are good enough at analyzing, you are through.

About books and coaching classes, others have talked enough. But, definitely go for some correspndence test. FIITJEE has more no. of students competing, but papers are unnecessarily supertough. Brilliant papers are closer to actual JEE papers. Any class, u join u have to be among the top there. All the best.

IITJEE is the easiest competitive examination

SOUNDS IMPOSSIBLE !!!!

Certainly not... Dear Aspirants. Your Problem Ends Now.

Learn a stepwise, systematic approach rather than running after coachings and tuitions. These things may help you but often you tend to over-rely upon them . Anyway you should take coaching help but don’t get over-dependent.

1st STAGE(Just after 10th Board)

(For at least surity of JEE clearance i.e. For AIR 1000-3000)

The chief problem with Indian children is that they run without planning to prepare a base. Jumping directly in the FIITJEE and APEX never pays. You won’t be able to make any head or tail. Secondly ,you will start taking JEE as something awesome.

BASE PREPARATION

PHYSICS

H.C.Verma I & II (solutions are available.Purchase but do not over-rely upon them. Better have a deep discussion with your friends and teachers rather than getting dependent over solutions at this very elementary stage.Repeat it.At least twice or thrice.Just once would not work.)

***** PROHIBITION----- DO NOT TOUCH RESNICK HALLIDAY.NICE BOOK CERTAINLY AND READS LIKE A SCIENCE STORY.YOU WILL LIKE THIS BOOK TO THE EXTENT OF ADDICTION.BUT I AM STRONGLY WARNING NOT TO STRAY HERE AND THERE.THIS BOOK IS NOT MEANT FOR JEE SPECIFICALLY AND TOO MANY OUT OF SYLLABUS THINGS ARE INCLUDED. BUT,YES,I RECOMMEND PROBLEM SOLVING FROM THIS BOOK.MANY MANY ENJOYABLE PROBLEMS. BUT BETTER YOU DON?T TOUCH IT.

CHEMISTRY----(1) Dr.O.P.Agrawaal (2) RC Mukerjee Physical chemistry ***PROHIBITION------- DON?T EVEN TOUCH COMPREHENSIVE CHEMISTRY OR KRISHNA CHEMISTRY OR ABC . IF YOU ALREADY HAVE BY MISTAKE PURCHASED THESE BOOKS, EITHER BURN THEM OR DISTRIBUTE THEM TO YOUR ENEMIES WHOM YOU DON?T WANT TO CLEAR JEE.

MATHEMATICS --- (1) K.C.Sinha Algebra( & Calculus & Probability)

(2)S.L.Loney Trigonometry & Co-ordinates

(At least thrice ----if possible 4 time . Power of repetition is unlimited )

Must solve ----- (1)S.L.Loney trigo?s 206 miscelleneous sums And

(2)Questions behind the KCSINHA algebra

PROHIBITION-- ALWAYS MAINTAIN A 50-LIGHTYEAR DISTANCE FROM RS AGRAWAAL MATHS.I HAD WASTED 60 % OF MY PREPARATION PERIOD UPON ORDINARY BOOKS LIKE COMPREHENSIVE CHEM AND RS AGRAWAAL MATHS. YOU GAIN NOTHING AT ALL AND ULTIMATELY END UP CONSUMING YOUR DAYS.

2nd STAGE ( For AIR 500-1000)

Now that you have prepared a good base , it’s time to raise the problem solving capacity. Trust my words : If you have dedicatedly prepared the 1st stage, nothing under the sun can prevent you from getting a seat in IITs. Unfortunately many many aspirants don’t understand this simple technique and rush after coachings and tuitions. Let me tell you neither IITJEE is tough competition nor IITians are God. They are as common as anyone else. So I would advise you before taking panic and jumping in the second stage, with full concentration complete the first stage . Only then come in the second stage.

PHYSICS : IRODOV (Assimilate it .REPEAT IT.) Note: Solutions of Abhaya Kumar Singh are available. *PROHIBITION--- SOME PARTS OF IRODOV LIKE SPECIAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY IN MECHANICS,LUMINANCE IN OPTICS AND MANY OTHER ARE NOT NEEDED FOR JEE. IN THE FIRST ROUND YOU SHOULD DECIDE GOOD AND NOT GOOD QUESTIONS.TICK MARK THEM .AND IN THE NEXT ROUND NO NEED TO REPEAT OBSOLETE ONES.OUT OF 1900 PROBLEMS ,YOU WON?T NEED FOR MORE THAN 1000 PROBLEMS.

CHEMISTRY-------ARIHANT ( Physical+Inorganic+Organic)

No need to read any more theories. Just one glance upon them and START SOLVING PROBLEMS in examples and exercise. You have already prepared a strong base in 1st stage. Now the PROBLEM SOLVING SKILL has to be magnified and intensified. You have to add many more dimensions in this skill. You are now above the fear of selection and non-selection. You are already an IITian. So fearlessly go on solving the problems only. I am emphasizing on problem solving.

MATH------------ Time for T.M.H

( After having solved KCSinha+loney you won?t find it as tough as it is in reality)

3rd STAGE (For Top 100)

Congratulations !!!! For successfully completing first and second stages. You are already entitled in some unknown cosmos to get an under 1000 seat. But you certainly deserve more.

NOW THIS IS RIGOROUS VIGOROUS PRACTICE STAGE.

(1) THREE FITJEE GMPs (Grand Master Package)

(2) APEX MATERIALS

(3) FIITJEE TEST SERIES AND IF MONEY DOES NOT PROHIBIT APEX TEST SERIES ALSO

(4)RANKER TEST PAPER FILES (RTPF)

(5)QUESTIONS GAINED IN COACHINGS AND FRIENDS

(6)IIT MATHEMATICA & IIT CHEMICA

(7)EXERCISES GIVEN AT THE END OF I.L.FINAR(SOLUTIONS AVAILABLE)

(Physics for you series, chemistry today, mathmatics today are not so good and I repent now HEAVILY for wasting my precious time upon such stuffs. No disrespect intended for professors there.) Did you notice I put BIG-BIG APEX FITJEE etc in the third stage while many coachings and tuitions start putting undue stress upon it in the too early stage. Arey Bhai, let them first grow enough to assimilate it.

Study all 3 subjects regularly without laying undue stress on one and leaving other two uncared. Do not do this. It is dangerous.

Better spend Monday for Physics, Tuesday for Chemistry, Wednesday for Maths and repeat the cycle for Thurs, Fri and Saturday. On Sunday, you MUST revise whatever you studied in last 6 days. REVISION IS A MUST.

One thing I feel I should add in this review. I studied 14 hours a day for mains. So my dear child, be prepared for some really arduous task. IITJEE is not that easy either. Do not take it easily. And do not panic either.

: IITJEE is too easy. And Why Medical!!! And distribute their XEROXES to your friends also. Believe me, I have personally at my own expenses distributed them to 70 juniors of 11th 12th till now who in turn distribute to their friends. Never be Selfish. God will take extra care of you as He has always done to me. Selflessness is a virtue. Who knows, by your little carefulness someone’s life may change. Do good whenever you can. I will rather say: Do good even when you aren’t in position of doing good!!!

Procrastination is NOT an IITian Virtue. Be Quick and Swift in Your Actions. :)..please do comment and rate if u ve liked it...
