Use this formula :
g' = g(1 - h/2R)
h = height above the earth g' = gravity at that point.

The counselling dates are not officially out yet. Even I read about these dates in The Hindu. I am not quite sure as to when the actual dates will be released though.

Yeah, the answer is R. BTW, ramyani, the method that you've adopted to calculate the answer is totally wrong. You cannot use the equations of motion here as the acceleration due to gravity does not prevail during the entire motion of the body.

EDTA titration is quite simple. Its just the basic mole concept, and ofcourse, you need to know the correct stoichiometric equations. With these, you can easily crack any question on it.

I got a 78.
Yeah, there is nothing about the counselling dates on the site. They claim to be one of the best institutes, but cant even do such things on time?

Heptane has higher bpt, because of its higher molecular weight, which enhance the Vander waal's forces of attraction between the atoms.

See, I hope you know the resonance structures of Ph - OH, etc. Now, one interesting property with alkyl groups, which are attached to benzene rings is that, one of the Hydrogen atoms in the alkyl groups donates its electrons(the bond pair) to the Carbon atom for a VERY SHORT TIME. Now, the Carbon atom has excess electrons, therefore, it activates the o - p positions. Again, these donated electrons are taken back by the hydrogen, and the next hydrogen donates its electrons. So this cycle continues, and the carbon atom thus activates the o-p positions.

As for the first one, since it is an ester, you cannot do the iodoform test directly on it. Therefore, first it has to be hydrolysed, and converted to an acid and an alcohol. On doing that, none of the two will have a potential methyl keto group. As for the second one, I am not very sure, though I suspect the role of stability somewhere.

Your state rank could be as predicted as Tamil Nadu does not have much competition as compared to other states like AP, Himachal, Rajasthan, etc.
