When two dipole are kept parallel at a distance x (x>>2L)

what is the interaction between tha two dipoles ?

is it zero because of the cancelling of the forces due to both positive and negative charges of both as                   (2L)2 + x2 = x as 2L<<x

i think that, as the Br is vinylic , the compound is less polar for the substitution to take place

so addition takes place
