the difference in both reactions is of the reactants-clemenson reaction uses zn-hg/ con Hclwhile wolfkisner reduction uses hydrazine i.e. NH2-NH2

the mechanism of reactions depend upon the intermediates formed and order of reaction. the reactions that are completed in 2 steps are under SN1 category(order=2) while those that are completed in a single step by formation of a transistion state are under SN2 category(order=2).
