In my maths book.....this is written:

(4y-1) + a (x-2y) = 0 . . . . this line clearly passes through the pt of intersection of 4y -1 =0 & x - 2y = 0

which is ( 1/2 , 1/4 ) . . . . can someone please explain how...

but why is there more electron density in central carbon than sp2 & sp3....due to the spherical shape of s orbital which is better than the 8 shape of p orbital....??. . . . .or is there some other reason??

that can't be formed...the answer is wrong....for this to be formed , carbocation rearrangement would be needed, and here the alkane can't make a carbocation just like that....it needs an acid or something...light can't do it.....
