not necessary. The person we are talking about is extremely talented and is really good in math and physics. And after all, he only needs to brush up his chemistry.

Yes, this JEE's results took a different turn of events didn't it. I don't understand. People here in chennai expecting 260+ and getting bigger ranks than those people in goiit who expected only 250 or so and got a rank of 1700 odd!

Seen these six links? Either the user is posting his/her homework problems or the user is studing hard for 11th school. Are such problems even worth being in a iit forum? And ofcourse, not only this user (whose posts i happened to find the fastest), but many users are doing this, posting a flurry of such problems. This makes goiit a haven for school problems rather than iit problems!

If such issues aren't sorted out fast, I dont see where this is all going!

Himanshu, what do you say to games being played during the exams? The games played in the lounge are kiddish, like those played by 7-12 year olds and lack the maturity of an aspiring iitian.



The problems here arent of much high standard and people post many homework questions here!

The language used here is comical. For instance posts like "VIT is truly frod" Wth? A 10-12th grader not knowing proper english? And also people post stupid short forms which makes the readability tough! like "frns wats d way to do dis sum plz reply me" and nonsense! Also too much of short form hindi which i find tough to gather even though i know hindi decently well!



And i agree with Supercool, this site is damn addicting!

Actually its a simple multinomial problem if you can see it.

LEt the number of people before A be x1, between A and B be x2, between B and C be x3 and After C be x4.

We know the bounds on each xi is that they are non negative integers and that their sum is 4. Thus we can set up a multinomial coefficient and then permute the people!

cant you do this simple summation?
