Let the natural length of spring be l

cos 37 = 4/5

So 1/2 m v^2 = 1/2 kx^2

cos 37 = l/h

4/5 = l/h
x = h/4

From the diagram

cos 37 = 4/5 =  AC/AB =  h/l

So l = 5/4 h

So extension = h/4 = x

So velocity = v = x (k/m) = h/4 (k/m)

cos 37 = 4/5 =  AC/AB =  h/l

So l = 5/4 h

So extension = h/4 = x

Yes good solution could be done in a little shorter way

x1 + x2 + x3 + ...+ xn = 271

x1.x2.x3.x4.....xn  = Product = P

P will be max when x1 = x2 = x3 =...... xn

So P = (271/n) ^ n

ln P = n (ln  271 - ln n)

Differentiating,

1/P dP/dn = ln 271 - ln n - 1

or ln (271/en) = 0

271 = en , so n = 100 for prod to be max.

@avi i think its pretty simple to draw the graphs....and with sine function having its max value at 1 its enough to understnd from those graphs that they will never meet.However elastiboysai thak u again for posting the graph(i had told him to do it for me).And yeah deedee is also correct.

Better would be to plot the graph

y = 5^x + 5^-x will be actually a parabola with its vertex at (0,2) and will never intersect with y = sin e^x.So no solutions.

someone please attach the graph.
