see ...nit warangal is not much behind the iit's in terms of placements.the same goes for nit trichy and surathkal....ok u can say that manipal is growing fast but u just cannot say that nit's are detiorating and manipal is nowhere near the top nit's

nit jaipur is an average insti in comparison to other nit's....the nit's in
1.warangal
2.surathkal
3.trichy
4.calicut
5.alllhabad
6.rourkela
are much better than nit jaipur
coming to IIIT's ..they are dream institutions if u wanna go for IT branches...it has got excellent placements

what i think is that 99% of students dont take the branch of their interest...for example how come all the top 50 of iitjee have their interest in comp sc and that too in IITB....

who told you ece is much better than civil and mech???....it is a thing of the past when civil and mech were considered as a last option...but not now...there is a huge infrastructure boom(u can see many advertisements on tv.eg DLF IPL)and it needs civil engineers....this year the mech engg placemnts of NITRKL are far better than that of comp sc and ece and it is going to be more good in the coming years keeping in view the establishment of large no of steel and other metal companies
